I remember that video. Really sad, the man at least had the decency to stop and try to do something. True gentlemen, back in the day.
Found some of Senna:
I chose the '93 Senna at Monaco pic as my new wallpaper (after a quick edit).
Joco + Vikirad, do we really need the same pic quoted twice? It's massive enough without me having to scroll for several minutes to get to the bottom of the page
It was also probably the best. It was much like concept. Because of it, McLaren finally broke Ferrari domination. It is a great looking thing, way ahead of it's time...
Probably one of the most mysterious F1 cars in recent years... maybe due to the fact that it never actually turned a racing wheel.
How can anyone drive with the car burning up????
Actually, during the turbo era, huge oil fires were fairly common.
Two that really come to mind are Michele Alboreto somewhere (I want to say Nurburging -- the first race on the new track) being so upset with yet another mechanical failure that he drove the burning car back to the pits -- and it was so hot he had unbuckled as he was rolling down the pit lane and standing up in the cockpit. There was also Marc Surer at Brands Hatch who became the owner of a Brabham-BMW CarBQ.
