TheVolvo V50/S40Ford Focus C-Max has the thickest, most annoying A-pillar in the world. Just thought I might point that out.
FTFY
- Games are great for learning track layouts and cornering (see : people who drive the 'Ring in a game then do it inreal life)
This part really does work
Oh BTW, I drove a rental Toyota Yaris Sedan the other to go to Seattle. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be at first. Compared to the Hyundai Accent I got a few months ago, I would even say it was a good car.
- The engine (I believe it is a 1.5 VVTi) is reasonably powerful, even on the highway, even the slushbox wasn't too bad.
- It didn't seem to handle too bad, but that part was kind of hard to test on the highway.
- The stereo was nice and loud
- The engine used its petrol very efficiently, even with some thrashing from time to time.
Now for the bad parts:
- The steering is the most uncomfortable piece of hard plastic I had the displeasure to hold in my hands, it did hurt after only a few minutes.
- The interior is mostly hard plastic and I don't like the gauges in the middle, they maybe great for cost-cutting at the factory but they are so far away from your eyesight...
- It caught every possible crosswind imaginable... It was so bad at one point that I thought one of the tire had a puncture!
So the car had faults but all in all it wasn't too bad for a rental, I wouldn't buy one though.
Oh and... My god, driving on North American highways is boring... Next time, if I'm not in too big of a hurry, I'll try to do my homework and find a less boring alternative (if such a thing exists ).
