Did you ever watch the Tonight Show before to have a frame of reference? The studio audience laughed, but I sure didn't (aside from an awakened WTF chuckle). That said, maybe getting hooked on Craig Ferguson, who is truly hilarious, has ruined it for me and no one will catch up. I will spoil one surprise and tell you no car segment if that was what you were interested in. No car talk at all.^ That's how I usually watch Real Time now, on YouTube. Not that Real Time is necessarily a bad show... it's just that it can be very 'hit and miss'. This one time? Ashton Kutcher.
Anyway, YouTube it is for the Leno!

Styx and REO both do the Tunica casino circuit several times a year, so back when I lived in Memphis, myself and a large group of friends would head down to Tunica and drink copious amounts of free booze, play four or five hands of blackjack and then demand to be comped Styx/REO/Winger tickets...and most of the time they gave them to us(probably to get us off the floor).I FUCKING LOVE STYX.

I've seen quite a bit of Leno doing the Tonight Show and I've never really been a fan. Nothing really against the guy, I just don't think he's very funny and his style of comedy is way too 'safe' for my liking. Also, I don't really like the way that he interviews his guests... it's like he's afraid of them/kissing up to them or some shit. I've always preferred the way Letterman does his interviews and I prefer Dave's humour as well.Did you ever watch the Tonight Show before to have a frame of reference? I thought Life on Mars was better.I FUCKING LOVE ASHES TO ASHES
It's the only TV I've watched for a week and it's epic! I just finished the second series and I can't wait for the third, the ending is brilliant! It's like a slow burner! you think you know what happened and then you go, wait, no, that's not right and then it makes you confused again!

Comedy is personal. There's no reason we all have to like the same stuff. I like some of Leno's bits, mostly the stuff where they go out and find idiots. I usually laugh at least once at Headlines, but I'm sorry it isn't the climax of an hour long show like they tried to pull last night. Ferguson comes on VERY strong and I imagine you either love him or hate him.Man, I never really understood Fergusen. But I guess he's been on air for quite some time now so there must be a following.
I was a bit disappointed with the Leno show last night, but I'm willing to give it some time to get acclimated.
I was a Letterman fan, gosh probably 10-13 years ago. He's not bad now but he's trying WAY too hard. The Top 10 list needs to be maybe once a week if that often. It's gotten truly awful! I don't know if it was a rerun lats night or not, but he tried to give a humorous pictorial education on anaplasmosis. Um, SNORE and I'm a damn biomedical engineer!I've seen quite a bit of Leno doing the Tonight Show and I've never really been a fan. I like Ferguson because he knows i'm high when I watch and he always throws some trippy shit in there or some sort of reference to 'college stoners'.images/smilies/mrgreen.gif But he wouldn't be able to do that on NBC or on any show that is called "The Tonight Show"
I was half interested in the new Leno thing with the "celebrity do a lap around a track or whatever" bit but if that's not in there I have almost no interest at all. I thought maybe if it was a total train wreck it could be fun to watch... if it's just Kanye West apologising and Jay Leno being dull...images/smilies/zzz.gif
Johnny Carson, now there's a good Tonight Show host!images/smilies/biggrin.gif
