Random Thoughts....

We just have a bunch of Puerto Ricans. Damned if I know why they came to CT :dunno: And a suspiciously high concentration of Asians in some towns thanks to the casinos.

Yup. Spanish class I took in high school was useless
Ok then, what should I be ordering :p

Depends what kind of food you like. We have so many cultures mixed in and every state is different (much like the USA, I guess), so we don?t have a "national food", more like "regional food".
Where I live it?s mostly churrasco (Uruguayan influence, the bastard cousin of barbecue), and butchered versions of German and Italian foods.

Well I like italian food and spicy foods the best.

This isn't exactly random, but (as those of you unfortunate enough to have been in #gear a few hours ago) I HAVE A PLACE TO LIVE ON FRIDAY AFTER ALL

:D :D :D :D :D

When I think of Brazilian food, the first thing that comes to mind is feijoada. (Pronounced "fesh-wada" - think of a Southie saying "fish water" and you've pretty much got it.)

It's not very spicy, but it is very good.

The back seat?

:tease: congratulations.

Suh-weet bachelor pad with my very own loo, acceptable rent, and reserved parking? Those are all serious luxuries on LA's Westside, so I'm pretty stoked.

Now to figure out how I'll be paying rent...

Great! Lots of italians around that can provide you good food. Me included!

Yeah, feijoada is the biggest clich? when talking about brazilian food.
And sorry, but your explanation of the pronunciation just made me laugh. It?s reaaaaaally far off the actual way we say that.

NSW Transport is the most ridiculous organisation ever. When my house was broken into, my train concession card was stolen as it was in my wallet. So I go to get a replacement, and get told that since I was already given one that means I must still have it and I cannot get another one. I had to ring the Transport Infoline, where I was told to download a form off the internet and post it to get a replacement. (Post it? Really?) This being my only option, I went on the website where I found this form does not exist. Even if it did, I would have to pay $56 for a replacement piece of cardboard. It costs them bugger all, it was free in the first place, why should I be punished for having my things stolen?

This state...

I've been to two Brazilian restaurants here in the US(Fogo de Ch?o and Texas de Brazil), both were awesome...Fogo de Ch?o nearly put me in a meat comma.

Hbriz, I'd get back on the phone and try to work your way up the chain of command. Always remember when dealing with large organisations, particularly over the phone, never accept a "no" from someone who isn't in a position to give you a "yes".
