There was a photo in the Melbourne papers yesterday of some moron holding onto the back of a tram down St Kilda Rd just to save a few bucks. Dick head.

Darwin rules.
The best part was when his graffiti mates were being interviewed on the news and they said they'd all be heading to the bridge tonight to mark their respects.

They can leave their marks on the pavement next to his marks?

Nearest town used to have a Mcdonalds on the main road/intersection leading into it, when they closed it down for not making any profit it stood abandoned for a few years, then some genius in the towncounsil turned it into an 'art' project with graffiti....
So now the first thing people see when entering town is an abandoned fastfoodplace plastered in graffiti, classy! looks like the fucking Bronx.

I don't drive, I fly.
Whenever I see/hear Dr. Who being discussed, I think TARDIS is an insult.

I've seen quite a few cycle couriers here getting a "tow" from trams. They're either braver or more stupid than I am.

I went to the doc to find out why my knees are hurting so much. After several X-rays and some prodding, the doc announced that I have Bursitis and the beginning of arthritis.

Fan-fucking-tastic.

Well, I guess now I just need to get you a cane so you can wave that as you tell kids to get off your lawn.

God, Hurricane Irene was a bitch. We basically just got an extra-windy thunderstorm, but a good chunk of the state is without power, including me. I'm currently mooching Starbucks Wi-Fi because I don't expect to get power back for a while, given that there's a tree down on my road. Ugh, no power sucks.

Why do I keep writing up to do-lists at work? It's not like I ever get to work through everything on them, so I might as well write tasks on darts, throw them behind my back and see which stick in somebody else's body. There, that's what you need to get done today.

I have Bursitis and the beginning of arthritis.
Ouch! I hope they'll find a way to stop those two in their tracks; best of luck to you!

The Amazing Adventures of Irene Blowes and Power Suckes - that's getting somewhere as a porn movie.

I have been looking into this strange tingling sensation I get in the back of my head.
I seem to get this funny, kind of relaxed feeling in the back of my head. It is not at all annoying and is actually really pleasurable. It is the second most pleasurable thing I can think of behind .. well, you know.. .
I got it just now when one of my family members gave me a massage. I also get it after I go to the doctor and they check my sinuses, and after I get a hair cut. It lasts for different amounts of time but usually about 5-10 minutes but can be prolonged to about 20 if I really concentrate on it. It may sound silly but I can only describe it as a head orgasm or a brain massage.
I decided to look it up and it turns out that other people get it too but they get it after different things. A lot of people said they get it from being in a quiet room and listening to typing on a keyboard, or a certain part of a song or even certain scenes from a movie.
Mine seems to be set off when a person pays certain attention to me and only me ie the doctor and hairdresser.

I have had this for as long as I can remember but only decided to look it up now. I used to think I was weird.

Does anyone else have anything like this?

There is a small stream near my house. Every time it rains heavily, it floods, making the stretch of road, as well as another stretch further up the road, more treacherous to drive. As New Jersey was in the path of Irene, you can guess what happened. This time, the water rose higher than I've ever seen it go. In fact, it's started flooding our driveway, and was probably about three feet deep. On a road lined with ditches, and a one-lane bridge in the middle of it.

The DOT put up "Road Flooded" signs at our end, and presumably the other end, but that hasn't stopped drivers deciding to try their luck. I find it somewhat humorous to imagine the driver going "'Road Flooded?' Fuck that, I've got a 4x4! *Proceeds about three hundred feet, spies the now river-sized stream* Uhh, y'know what, I'll just take the highway..."

Of course, they then proceed to reverse almost all the way up the road to find a place to turn around, ignoring the not-flooded bit of our driveway, or the barn across the street from our house...

I literally feel your pain. :( It might get worse, it might stay the same. What I can tell you, is that you will learn how to cope with it, and work around it.

Speaking of the hurricane, my aunt lives near Atlantic City, near an estuary off the Egg harbor and there was no flooding. Yet landlocked Vermont (the smaller, more expensive Wisconsin) gets flooding. Weird.
