So, the Ringmeet 2009 was a huge success, was really fun meeting all you crazy people again!

Here goes nothing! I will start with my point & shoot pics and the ones from my Iphone I posted on Twitter, the professionals will then raise the bar with their DSLR pics ;)

I drove to the D?sseldorf Airport to pick up "the Finn", who arrived on time (and did not stab me on sight!)

After getting lost a bit we then headed off to pick up swek from the Cologne Airport (and found him!) and continued our journey to the Nordschleife. We arrived there way ahead of time (10:30) and soon the Slovenian delegation showed up.

When everyone was finally there (DanRom was last :p), we went to see the start of the 4h Race of the VLN on the stands:

After that, we got some food, German style (Curry Wurst Pommes :D)!

and then went back on the stands, where it was slightly cold :) and watched the first part of the race.

Then we decided to head towards the pits & other stands.

ZE ZPEEDLIMIT IS ENFORCED, JA!

Awww, poor swek, all alone

Some of the shiny stuff parked around there:

...and a Dacia Logan with semi-slicks and a Renault Sport brake system.

Some shots from the back straight:

The "professionals" were showboating their lenses around again:

While we others enjoyed sun, race & scenery.

Some more shiny stuff caught my eye and distracted me...

and some not-so-shiny stuff:

we then headed back to our cars, past the new buildings of the N?rburgring and drove to Br?nnchen.

Ice then wanted to walk to the Karussel and we sheepishly did it (I said it is far & hilly, noone believed me :( ) where we watched the end of the race.

After that, we slowly crawled back to the cars & drove to our campsite, but went shopping on the way. We quickly decided swek was the woma....man for the job & trusted him to find us stuff to eat. After a quick stop at the beverage store it was time to go & build tents.

With this being done, we headed to the Pistenklause for dinner.

On the parking lot we found this Leon Cupra. Do you think it's a Diesel?

Inside the Pistenklause. Aren't they cute, all partner look?

Kip and MXM ordered the speciality, beef on the hot stone. Little they knew they had to cook it themselves, on a hot stone.

Adu tried to hide, ambitious but rubbish style:

Back at the camp site. Can you tell it was cold?

On the next morning. It was 7?c in the night, we were freezing our arses off in the night. Eventually sun came out and we enjoyed breakfast.

After the nice breakfast, we headed off to the tourist drives.

Somehow, swek suddenly started brabbling along about guns, freedom, bacon and leafsprings..

We then went for our laps, without crashing (Track pics by Pistonspy.com, more to come I hope)!

Ice somehow did not like my sticker :(

The shirt + the car. Perfect.

GROUP PIC (setup phase :D)

After that, we drove to the campsite, packed our stuff and went on our way home. Somehow, Ice started to show his true feelings towards me while I was gone. Fixing it made it worse for the first seconds :D

THE END.

Cya next year. :D

How come there isn't an orange Lotus 7 in any of the pictures..?

Because a 7 would have to be seriously bent in order to fit into hand luggage.

Great pictures, D-Fence! The meet was a lot of fun, apart from nearly shivering to death during the night. ;)

I enjoy browsing fullsize pictures more. But I'll resize mine to 1024-wide.
