The Northeastern part of the US is getting a bit of snow this weekend. I'll go out tomorrow and get some pics haha right now I can't be bothered going out :D

A BIT!?!?!?

A BIT!?????!

There's 3 feet of the stuff between me and my cars, 2 feet of it on top of the damned road, it is now impossible to access the outdoor wood supplies, the indoor wood supplies are nearly exhausted (weathermen said "10 inches, max" - so we didn't bother bringing in a several days supply), and this house is heated by wood burners with electric backup heating, which is only even partially installed.

Fuck snow. At least when I can't drive in it.

It's been snowing like hell here for the past 10 hours or so, and it was enormously good fun to take a friends Sierra for a drive :p

Did 150km in the snow today, quite annoying actually because

a) it's icy under it
b) no snowploughs in sight
c) people with summer tires spinning
d) people with SUVs crashing "BUT I HAVE AWD IN MY Q7 CLEARLY I MUST BE ABLE TO BRAKE IN TIME"

As long as it was as empty as on the pics, I'd have a lot of fun on that Autobahn :)

"I can go faster around that corner with my AWD... Oh shit!"

They are everywhere, aren't they?

RWD + snow tires - traction control = :driving:! Still needed the trac to bring me back up my own driveway, but never mind that. Just got to make sure to clean out the slushy bits in the spring...mud flaps can only do so much with snowy spray.

Between people cleaning out their sidewalk areas and the snow plow I had a hard time finding my car and then getting out of the spot, was basically sitting on a snow bank :'( But I did take my g/f out for a bit of drifting last night and she enjoyed :)

Lots of snow yesterday. Had to drive my brother to his once-a-week job, which means I had 20 minutes to kill. In a parking lot. An empty square parking lot with a lone trailer in the middle.

If only I knew what I was doing.....

At least I can finally justify my snow tire purchase, and am no longer afraid to go out unless the snow level is higher than my ground clearance. These things grip!

You wouldn't make it out of the driveway during storm around here. Even the Land Cruiser would sometimes plow through the snow with the undercarriage, and it had just over 8 inches of clearance.

The driveway was plowed, or that would apply over here too ;)

As I said in another thread though, my mother's front wheel drive Lincoln couldn't even make it half way up the hill.
