I took photos as the "first shooter" at a low-budget wedding recently. I'd previously shot a surprise wedding as a favour, so though OK, I can probably pull this off.

Had a slight hiccup at one stage, my new 16GB card (which I'd only taken a couple of test shots on - my bad!) failed 10 shots in, but didn't lose anything important (had put it in to do a video of the ceremony with the 7D while I shot with the 400D.) I had two bodies (7d and 400d), was using primarily two lenses (35mm f/2 and 50mm f/1.4) and two flashes (430ex and 580ex(borrowed))

I made do with two 8GB cards and emptied the cards at the start of the reception onto my Macbook Pro.

Full set is on Flickr (view large for best view)

I'd appreciate any constructive comments or criticism! (Be it composition, lighting, post processing, etc)

P.S. - The groom doesn't seem physically capable of a "normal" smile, just in case you were wondering. It seems genetic as the best his son can manage is the same :)
