Stig's in-car music added in post production?

I couldn't find an existing thread through the search function but it's something I've wondered, unless the Stig likes the challenge of concentrating while music, talking or morse code is being played.

But they still keep true to the fact weather the car has a stereo or not.

But yeah, otherwise the music would use up like 2bhp or something.

Except for the Maserati MC12. Has no stereo, and yet...King Crimson.

Anorak-fact: If you notice on the Isle of Man compo in 07x01, you'll notice on the dashboard of the 997 it says "Radio off".

Yeah, I'm afraid they have put music in even when the car didn't have a radio. They also did that on a review of some Ferrari.

Also, recording the sound in a car would sound very different that what we hear due to the small cabin.
