Bernie Sanders had heart procedure for artery blockage, campaign says

Bernie Sanders’ campaign says the Democratic presidential candidate has had a heart procedure for a blocked artery. The Vermont senator is canceling events and appearances “until further notice.”

The campaign says the 78-year-old Sanders experienced chest discomfort during an event Tuesday and sought medical evaluation.

The campaign says two stents were “successfully inserted” and that Sanders “is conversing and in good spirits.”

His campaign manager, Faiz Shakir, was on a telephone call with supporters Tuesday night but didn’t mention any health concerns about the candidate.

Shakir said the “state of the campaign is strong” and he played up Sanders’ strong fundraising total for the third quarter.

Sanders recently canceled some appearances in South Carolina because he lost his voice. The campaign said at the time he felt fine.

And another one drops out.

Whoops!

Bloomberg Campaign Vendor Used Prison Labor To Make Presidential Campaign Calls

Billionaire presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg has acknowledged that one of his vendors hired a subcontractor that used prison workers to make phone calls for his 2020 campaign.

That prison labor was being used by the Bloomberg campaign was reported Thursday morning by The Intercept. The campaign says it was unaware that inmate workers were making phone calls on its behalf until informed by The Intercept's reporter, and says it immediately cut ties to the vendor.

"Through a third-party vendor, the Mike Bloomberg 2020 campaign contracted New Jersey-based call center company ProCom, which runs calls centers in New Jersey and Oklahoma," reporter John Washington writes. "Two of the call centers in Oklahoma are operated out of state prisons. In at least one of the two prisons, incarcerated people were contracted to make calls on behalf of the Bloomberg campaign."

She was the oddball in the group. Apparently she is a guru of sorts to Oprah. Beyond that, she did not have much of an impact.

So I was looking at Mike Bloomberg stuff wondering if he had a chance. One argument is that hes a billionaire and we know Americans would only vote for a fake billionaire... The other that hes short... But after consideration he has some very strong points and I cant pin down a good reason why not to consider him. I can say he does know how to get some people very angry at him for eating frozen sugar and milk.

He doesn't know how to pet a dog either.
