The media will remind everyone on Super Tuesday. Maybe...

So far this debate has made Buttigieg look calm in the face of countless attacks.

You would think it would have stopped Trump.

The fact that Blooomberg did S&F isn't news and it won't hurt him one bit. The news is that he was openly racist about the practice. Trump didn't make Bloomberg say that nearly all criminals are minorities who can be racially profiled and then thrown against walls.

Shots fired right out of the gate

So Bloomberg took a punch on stop and frisk from "Lock the S.O.B.s Up" Joe. Then Warren tried to paint him into a corner over NDA's. Then Sanders blasted him for supporting Bush.

I don't think much of it stuck but it did make Biden, Warren, and Sanders look petty.

Holy hell Klobuchar lost it

Buttigieg wasn't that rough with her but she completely overreacted for a women who throws binders at aids she's got a very thin skin.

Bloomberg had a moment saying "I think I'm the only one on stage that started a business fair to say?" hard pause "ok well I know what it takes and I had set up entrepreneurship programs under my tenor as NYC mayor I know what helps"

Question was on taxes Warren and Sanders seemingly don't understand if you name check someone they have time to respond they keep throwing time to Bloomberg name checking him with him answering with quick jabs... he's not even on the ballot in Nevada.

Klobuchar looks like she's decided to double down on the offended unhinged defensive shaking with angry look when once again she had a minor brush this time with Warren

I like that MSNBC is not cutting away from coverage putting the camera in the small box during commercials which let's you see only Klobuchar is walking off stage.

Biden goes in on I'll beat up Mitch McConnell. Biden strategy - "Look how many push ups I can do did"

Buttigieg gave another hit at Klobuchar spoke some Spanish spoke to inclusion Klobuchar got angry tried to belittle Buttigieg with a Teddy Roosevelt arena jab which Buttigieg turned on her...

Closing statements bla bla myname.com... odd protestors

Post thoughts: Mayor Pete looks so fucking calm under pressure (very congenial walked directly to the moderators)

Sanders really wants it to be a plurality of voters (went to moderators shook hands)

Biden apparently has beaten people in the past (shook hands walked to the moderators)

Klobuchar is having an anger management issue (no shaking hands right out)

Warren WHY ISNT THIS WORKING! (Talked politely with Bloomberg a fair bit)

Mayor Mike is getting lots of attention, the other candidates are giving it to him and cleaning out his skeletons for him not knowing it's a favor to him. (Smiles chatted with candidates and oddly talked to producer by moderators then public)

Bloomberg/Buttigieg - America needs a Mayor... We got two.

So watching political coverage I'm going to double down on my assessment that Bloomberg did exactly what his plan required of him. He took a kicking during and event before a caucus he's not in. The other candidates either knowingly or unwittingly helped him air out his laundry. Political pundits are being short sighted in this discussion. Example: Remember the second Republican primary debate durring 2016... You remember the blistering Bobby Jindal attack... no? You don't remember that? The short sightedness is we don't talk about the crime bill and bussing with Biden it's been played out. Bloomberg took a beating to get it out of the system.

Sanders is the man to beat but they know he's not going to have the delegates so they are being nice to one day hope his army of tolls will vote for them.

Buttigieg was probably the only other winner looking calm under pressure and successfully knifing Klobuchar

Biden looked desperate and Warren went out of her way to show her teeth but I'm not sure how much good it did for them.

Sanders is going to run away with Nevada I think he's cutting out Warren. Buttigieg is the moderate candidate that Biden is bleeding to beat in South Carolina but by then I think he'll be dry. Bloomberg will mop up both of their blood on super Tuesday. Klobuchar is done after Nevada.

Sanders takes Nevada decidedly. Biden/Buttigieg comes in a distant second and followed closely by Buttigieg/Biden. (early numbers)

Pundits are going to say the sky is falling because a democratic socialist won with a significant margin. (btw GOP is going to call any Democrat a socialist)

South Carolina; it's debate and primary, will break Sanders momentum presumably.

Buttigieg consistently has shown he's performing above his pay grade.

Warren continues to underwhelm and underperform.

If Klobuchar is smart she will roll up her campaign.

Biden has placed all his chips on SC and it's diverse electorate. Anything but a win of a healthy margin is his deathbed. (Note: he'll hang on till the convention even if he finished 5th overall.)

Bloomberg has room again to go out to another debate before a primary that he's not on the ballot for but with a bar so low other than vomiting on himself he'll be judged as having a comeback.

From South Carolina ITS DEBATE NIGHT IN AMERICA!

I expected more from CBS. The moderator table was changing, crowded at times, and seemed disorganized.

Biden seemed to do what he needed to do I guess... if that was to say nothing and look like your affable but tough retired gym teacher.

Warren didn't have much besides "I'm Bernie lite" and didn't really drive it home of why she's better than Bernie other than she thinks so. Warren also took a few more swipes at Bloomberg which kinda made me think she just really doesn't care if she's not the President as long as it's not a billionaire.

Sanders got a bit of flak and the audience didn't respond well to all his comebacks. Now Bernie had a post debate comment that I did find interesting on that point - a seat in the auditorium was $1700 that's a chunk of non tax deductable change. So yeah Democrat Party establishment.

Steyer and Klobuchar would have gotten more attention if they had kissed. They both should drop out do a podcast or an even more liberal version of Morning Joe.

Buttigieg leaned into his unflappability still looks the most stable and dependable. Now I don't think it's going to translate to votes in SC but... In an emergency he's the guy I would want.

^ my problem with Bernie Sanders is the belief that electing him somehow makes his goals happen. Is the idea electing Bernie is such a mandate in itself? With Obama there was a mandate but I felt that mandate was to end the wars. They passed the ACA that was a compromise and had to beat up their guys and bribe with amendments the other guys. And like all good compromises it was one that both sides felt equally dissatisfied. It didn't go far enough and to others it was Obama raping their children. So they voted some 50+ times to kill it. Then when Trump got into office the cut out it's heart and pissed in the chest cavity.

I really like Pete's healthcare for those that want it. The Republicans loved the idea of not being told to buy health insurance. Their dream of frolicking in a bucolic field with their dumb kids all dressed in white while not having health insurance. I personally will have insurance but yeah let them risk the crippling debt.

I mean I do find it funny that whoever the Democrat is will believe in providing healthcare as an end. Republicans aren't discussing with senior citizens how they will have to deal with Social Security cuts and eventually buy health insurance themselves because they are cutting Medicare. But those communist are going to shove their healthcare down your throats. Republican end is you not having healthcare, social security, and trillions of dollars in federal debt?
