The Funny Maths Thread.. which sometimes contains mildly amusing pictures

Ugh, having bills that arent all the same size would infuriate me to no end.

He'd have to buy a new wallet?

Money doesn't exactly fit together so it leads to an uneven stack of bills in your wallet, or even worse in your money clip. Along with some peoples propensity to carry large amounts of cash in a roll or folded, the same size is advantageous.

Lots of people carry cash like this

You'd be surprised who carries cash like that, and its not drug dealers for the most part. When I worked a cash register, I always saw very elderly people sometimes carrying a few thousand dollars worth of cash at a time. I asked one why once, and he said he grew up in the Depression and distrusted banks.

I did not grow up in the depression and I to distrust banks, infact I even distrust paper money, I carry a Gold ingot and some sandpaper around all the time and pay by sanding of some Gold dust.

Hispanics with questionable citizenship status do that too... In college I worked at a lawn and garden store and they always paid cash for ~3000 lawn tractors and still had more than that left in their money roll.

I work retail, and people often save cash for big purchases until the day they have enough. Also, in christmas time, many people carry around a specific amount of cash as a way to limit their holiday spending. Also, I've helped a customer once who paid a large amount of cash. After we were finished, he said he had more shopping to do, and patted his chest. Apparently, he had just got back from a casino where he won significant money.

To be fair, even before this generation of money, we always thought of your money as "play money." I mean...who puts a beaver on their money? ;)

Canadian bills are all the same size.

As opposed to going to a strip club and waving your money at a beaver?

:p
