It was red and flashing the yellow light on top with no airborne plane anywhere in sight for a couple of minutes. Considering the almighty buzz* that a departing plane gave me at the other end of the field, I'm not sure this setup does much but satisfy regulatory requirements.

*one like this went directly over my head putting Sint Maarten to shame
