Got some "new old" toys :

That's right, I am now the proud owner of a shiny, incredibly hard to find and expensive NeXT Cube with the even rarer NeXT Dimension graphic board :-D

I know I'm gonna sound a bit nerdish, but I love it and I can't wait to receive my 13w3 to vga adapter and hook it up to some good display so I can get my NeXTStep fix !

^ Hey, that thing is so cool! In many ways the predecessor of current Macs and OSX. Do post a picture when you get it up and running.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a NeXt cube?

^

really old computer that was made around the early 90s.

That's some nice old you have there. Too young to know about it though.

Anyway, I got a DVB USB stick:

It was from Aldi, and it cost me ?20, but it does everything. It can time shift from when you start watching. You can rewind and fast forward like any other and record to the HDD. The manual says that a high spec PC is needed to time shift, so I was worried that my AMD with DDR1 RAM might not cut it, but it was silky smooth. :)

Very good piece of kit, especially when I get it hooked up to a proper aerial, this one only gets BBC.

^ Lucky you. We get truly shit Freeview signal here, as well as bad analogue signal, which means we have to have Sky.

My lovely 22" monitor got broken. It was lying down on a package cart and it slid over the side when it hit a bump. It only fell about 3" but that was enough to break the LCD, which sucks considering my old Viewsonic LCD once fell 4 feet onto concrete and was fine. So I had to dip into the bank account and get a new one. I got this samsung: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001268
It's nice, no dead pixels out of the box, lovely blacks and so far I'm really happy with it.

So people, thanks to the numerous advices, I got the MacBook 13.3" today! :D

My e-penis as some call it!
