The "New Toys" Thread

Just bought a 1.5 TB Samsung Spinpoint F2 for 80 bucks at fry's to replace a combo of drives coming in around 1 TB. Not the fastest drive in the world, but I'm using it for media storage so it's not a big deal.

I'm feeling a David Bowie song is about to start playing.

Bonus points to anyone who gets WTF I'm talking about

Why would I want to hook up a DVD player with a DVI connection to my PC?

I have a DVD ROM drive in that bloody thing.

Craigslist audio equipment impulse buy strikes again.

This time I ended up with a pair of 70s vintage Infinity Qb speakers.

They rock, and with 30mins listening time, they are holding there.

ps. The ferry was nice, BUT there were Antti Tuisku singing withing 20m of the cabin so the music was loud and bad :(
