The next epic race, where would like them to go?

Ohh i am very very sorry about my grammar DUDE but that will never kill anyone but some fool with a few extra pints in them will, I just thought it would make an interesting show and maybe save a life or two along the way by making even one person not drive after drinking could save lives and i would consider this much more important than my grammar. :)

The idea is OK (although not original), but most importantly it isn't really in keeping with the epic race. It could work as part of the challenge (which is what this thread was supposed to be about) but it's too simple to be a challenge by itself. They could also add sleep deprivation, distractions, bad weather, poor tyres etc into the mix to see how they compare to drunk driving.

One problem with this idea which I've seen happen is that some people actually do do better after a few pints.

Paris - Dakar, in regular cars (as in no Jeeps, Land/Range Rovers or Bowlers) modified for desert conditions.

Epic roadtrip across (a part of) Australia, with a limited fuel supply. The (cheap) cars would have to be modified to be at least partially solar powered.

Helsinki to Stockholm, in supercars, in the middle of the winter. Snow tyres, on.

Well, how about these:

1. Houston to Dallas. Hamster & Slow on Amtrak, Clarkson with a rebuilt DeLorean (apparently there's a shop in Houston that does this).

2. Pacific Coast Highway vs. Interstate, Los Angeles to Portland. Hammond on PCH with new Chevy Camaro, May via air / city public transport, Clarkson on Interstate in UPS delivery truck.

3. Yellowstone to Monument Valley, "no asphalt allowed." Clarkson in Range Rover vs. Hammond in Jeep Cherokee vs. May in Toyota Tundra with truck camper.

Malaysia. Force the boys to romp through south to north malaysia in a proton, perodua and a kia just to see how much pain they can keep up with.

Germany

Germany

Hello.
I like your ideas about eastern europe. A TG-Special in Russia, Ukraine or Belarus would be great.

As a top gear fan from germany, i of course would like to see the boys coming to our country.
For example to do a race from Berlin to the N?rburgring. I know Germany is not as "exotic" as Bolivia or Vietnam, but still, there would be much to do. James could "entertain"(=annoy) his collegues by endlessly talking about the war. Jeremy could entertain them by endlessly mocking ze germans. Richard would admit that he actually quite likes Germany...

The top gear boys could find out why the germans make such exellent, yet boring cars, meet interesting people (Sabine Schmitz) and even find contradictions like "A country that loves rules and regulations, but has no speedlimit on its Autobahns".

IRELAND!

Cos...that's where I live :p

Seriously though, seeing them (particularly May) trying to get round the Red (Mad) Cow Roundabout, also there can be a pretty big difference in road quality in some places, so it would be pretty funny seeing them zooming along the M50 one minute, and gingerly going through a narrow, windy, road the next :D

.

I'd like Moscow to Kiev

A trip through the Forbidden Zone in Ukraine would be awesome! Just imagine them driving gleaming, brand new cars through Pripyat - Extra points if the producers give them a copy of the Zombie Survival Guide with a note saying "You might need this".

I got a new idea, they buy an old VW for eachother (Beetle, Scirocco, GHIA, etc) and then style them and go on a roadtrip to W?rthersee in Germany ;)

Bhutan because Jeremy and James likes cock so much
So they can play spot the cock

What are the speed limits in Canada?

On the Trans-Canada, 110 kph (around 65-70 mph, virtually no different from the UK motorways). On main roads, up to 100 kph (~60 mph).

not a destination epic race but I must say I'd enjoy seeing them try another 24 hour race...but with the Stigs from each series (UK, Aus and US), see if they can't win their class :)
