This is how you drive a car quick around the Ring. Dale sure has some skill!

 
Today, there are two of the Gen5 ACR Vipers are trying to get a new Ring record, or at least a very fast lap time.

 
It is impressive indeed! And it should be the quickest manual street car on the Ring ever, btw...
 

Depends how you look at it, no factory support what so ever and they almost get under seven minutes on their only hot lap of the campaign. I would say that is pretty damn impressive for a dinosaur that has to be manually shifted.

Having both hands on the wheel at all times and active are two huge advantages, anyone know what tire the Lambo was on? The Viper team used Kumoh due to a sponsorship deal which may have also hampered them slightly compared to other tires they could have used.

I don't know why, but this video looks better than usual in giving the true sensation of speed.
Also, GEZUS, those pre-dual clutch gear changes are brutal.
