Sad to post this to the thread with this. I had to send my sweet Maxx to the rainbow bridge, DM was starting affect his front legs and could no longer get around. The Maxx shaped hole in my heart is slowly healing.

When left alone, beagles will find a scent and roll in it. Hank found one yesterday while I was raking the back yard. First roll of the year done. ☑️

That applies to most dogs. If we take Max to the fields very close to our house he always stinks when he gets home.
 
Hank is the first dog I’ve had that rolls in animal scents. Growing up we had an Airedale, 2 Bernese mountain dogs at different times and 2 pit bulls. None of those rolled but that’s just the type of breeds they are I guess.
 
MWF is right. It is both funny and annoying.
