Happens all the time. If you think about it a 4G enabled iPad (other tablets are available) is, essentially, the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy and flip phones were the communicators from Star Trek.

SpaceX has landed a first stage for the third time (once on land, twice on a swimming platform), this time after it has carried JCSAT-14 which has been deployed in a geosynchronous orbit: https://twitter.com/SpaceX/status/728457165606780928/photo/1
The first two landings were actual missions as well. What makes this one special is that they were going to GTO with a large satellite. That is a much higher energy orbit so less fuel available for recovery.So, it's not longer a test, since it was an actual mission with payload. This is awesome!
