Inspired by this one here, I'm proposing a similar thread for TDU, as its rather easy for people to do since its PC release.
So, I'll start ;-)

DB9 going for the Sea:

And in Profile:

No pic session without a Ferrari:

Yeah, I know, not the greatest pics ever, but TDU doesn't render the pics like GT4 does. But then: What you see is what you get.
My settings: 1360x768, 16xAF, HDR on, AA off(Geforce 7 can't do hdr+aa) and details on high obviously...

Nah... It may on the photos, but playing the game looks better with it. After all I played it for 90 hours on the 360 with it. I did the Island race with AA cranked up, but didn't like the look and switched back afterwards.

Damn.. Atari Owned PC users again... No difference from beta... Same glitches.... And same 90 cars instead of 125 or 145....

Waiting for Russian official release... and for Atari's word about that.

Hope will never die...

P.S. My first photo made up in beta... on GF7600 (I have now 8800 so wait for AA+HDR).No effects because of mmm...I don't know about that that time.

P.P.S. Sorry for my bad englesh again.

Just a quickie, can a 7900GTO do HDR + AA?

I'm a bit n00b on this, AA I know is for anti-aliasing, but HDR is ?

how do i get images off my 360?

i have some good ones

though positioning the cam with the 360 controller is horrible

no due to GPU architecutural design choices, the Geforce 6 and 7 series GPU's use the same register to store AA or HDR data, i think, so basically there is only room to do one or the other.

the only exception to the rule is Valves source engine, they took the time to develope a HDR technique using just shaders so you can do HDR + AA at the same time on any DX9 hardware.

all other examples of HDR are usually of the Open EXR type using FP16 precision, such as Far Cry, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Serious Sam II etc (those registers i was on about) this looks the best, but its more taxing. (some games do use FP10 to keep the performance good at the expense of precision, but it looks good still)

ATi's Radeon X1800/1900 series are capable of doing this HDR and AA together and so is Nvidias new 8800 series.

however, Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter games for some reason still wont let you run HDR and AA even if your hardware is capable of it.

So whats your AA rating ? 4x ?

Er... one last thing, where do you enable HDR in the Nvidia control console ?

HDR - high Dynamic Range lighting, basically mimics real life, (think coming from a dark tunnel into bright sunlight, in the tunnel the end of the tunnel just looks white, then as you come out your eyes adjust and the colours return....HDR is like that, it tries to mimic the iris/pupil contracting and expanding)

you do not enable HDR in the nvidia control panel. HDR should be enabled in game under the graphics options. you'll need to make sure you have Anti Aliasing settings set to "off" or "application Preference"

Anisotropic Filtering can be left on though, and really if you have a 7900 you should either keep it on x16 or x 8 with the HQ setting.

Good thread idea! I'll be posting some photos when my copy arrives today or Friday. ^_^

And I ran 1600x1200, no HDR (framerate drop didn't seem worth it), no AA (no real need at 1600x1200), max graphics settings on my 6800 GT OC.

A pic I took in the beginning.
Will post some more of the nicer cars I have now :)
Ow yea, I play the game on my laptop so that means 800x600 low quality :(

i'll have to get some of the pics from my 360 with my Dazzle. when i've taken some, that is. i tried taking one but i really don't like controlling the camera using the 360 controller. and the angles can't be set up like the GT4 photo mode :(

Here are some of my pics, I'm still not very familiar with the photo system yet, so the pics didn't turn out too good (they are a bit too dark).

How do you do pics mid-slide? Just pause the game while sliding and go to photo mode?

Yep. I was just driving around doing some drifts, so I just pause the game when I feel the drift is good.

Coolio, must try in the morning...well...in the afternoon, when i get of work.. *sigh*
