Well the biggest problem with the RE92's is tread depth (rated treadwear 160, I think). I rounded the edge right over on them very quickly, which absolutely ruins the wet/snow handling. And while they were decent in the the rain when newish, my memory of then is dominated by a bunch of really scary incidents in the rain at what should not have been dangerous speeds. Their best quality was the highway ride; the car tracked straight and true with no tramlining. And while dry grip was good while on the sticky outer layers of the RE92s, they did not give a nice audible warning when the grip was giving out.

I like the G009. It's not a performance tire, but it is very good in the rain (better than the RE92, I'd say) and decent in the snow, esp. considering that it is an all weather tire. It does tramline a bit on the highway and is noisier than the RE92. But the most important thing for me is how it feels at the limit, and I like that there is a nice progressive loss of grip with plenty of feedback at the wheel and audible to let me know what's going on. They don't get greasy as quickly as some Michelin semi-performance all seasons I had on a previous car (the RE92's didn't get greasy much either).

Porsche: Bridgestone Potenza max summer tires. 245 rear, 225 front (size up from stock).

Trans Am: BF Goodrich G-force TA. I love these tires, they're the best short of r-compounds. However, they suck in the rain and cold weather and they're very expensive. 295s in the rear, 275s in front. I have Kumho R-compounds for racing (305s in the rear and 275s in front) and my old rims with the crappy BadYear Eagle GA-F1s for winter.

Jeep: Kumho AT's, 245/75s. Cheap and quiet all-terrains. I've had Yoko GeoLandar
ATs before that which were somewhat loud, and Goodyear Mud Tires that were mind-numbingly loud.

Unlike almost everyone in here, I have no idea.

I make 23000 km on daily autobahn commuting plus a few more per year with my beloved weekly swiss alpine pass blasting. So, I drive four times a year to the same garage of confidence, say "Hi, I need new front tires!" and after fifteen minutes I'm on my way again.

I never had a look what sort of brand my tires are. I don't have enough car nerdiness for that.

Yokohama C-Drives on the Magna (replaced the A539s) and Kuhmo Ecsta something or other (I don't have access to the car right now) on the BMW.
 
Running Kumho Ecsta MX on my 17" wheels for about another month. They are some of the stickiest tires short of R-comps, and are insanely cheap ($80 each!). But they wear fairly quick, are a little noisy, and have a bit of a soft sidewall. I hear Falken RT-615 are better for similar money, so when these are gone, that's what I'll switch to.

For winter, the stock 16" wheels with BFGoodrich Traction T/A are going back on. They aren't all that sticky, but they are a good all around tire. They are a hell of a lot better then the stock RE-92 that will almost guarantee you slide into something in the wet. Though if you want a sticky all season, Pirelli PZero Nero M+S are really good. I've ran them on my Mrk3 Supra and they were flat out impressive. Can be fairly reasonable in price too.

your car should be running 185/60/R14, but take it with a pinch of salt as i dont know what tyres they run in Europe for Corsas, could be either U or H.

For the summer I got Toyo Proxes t1-r (the ones adu is considering) few months ago. And I can't get enough of them. Especially on track, grip levels are on complitely different level compared to old tires. Cons: decreased steering feel due to soft-ish sidewall on this high profile (some people say it's because of the thread pattern, which is still quite thick).

For winter I got a set of Pirelli Winter Carving, 'couse they were on top of some test many years ago when I got them. I don't really know what to say. They are fine. Slides nicely on the snow and ice :)

Unfortunately spikes are no longer legal in Germany, I'm sure I would have gotten me some :D
Currently I have Dunlop S9090 in summer (235/45 R17) and Semperit Sport Contact (195/65 R15).
Before that I had (actually I still have them laying around in my cellar) Pirelli P7 in summer. I tried various brands before and always ended up with either Pirelli or Dunlop. These tyres don't mind a track day and also are great for road driving, highly predictable and very grippy.
On my Escort I once had Michelin MXTs, which were just awful in the wet, the compound was far too hard to provide a good grip level even for average driving. Overall, after driving in a few Michelin equipped cars I think these are just overrated, they do have a better compound now but they are still far off the best tyres, strangely though the most expensive.

if you listen to anybody, listen to this guy. I have played with too many tires and these really are the best things you can buy, assuming your willing to swap tires when the season changes. Just get some steelies for the Blizzaks and hey presto, easy as pie!
 
Summer tires are Continental PremiumContact - I love continentals, i had EcoContact before and both were great (especially for the cost).
Winter tires are Goodyear UG7, which are not bad either.
 
Cougar - 225/45/17 Kumho Ecsta MX on the street and 225/50/16 Kumho Ecsta V710s for autocross. Needless to say, this car gets parked when it snows.

Mark VIII - 225/60/16 Continental ContiExtreme Contacts, although they are soon to be replaced with a set of Kumho Ecsta ASX in the same size. I've had a few sets of the ContiExtremes now and generally like them, but thought I'd give something else a try for awhile.

Those tires are trash. Read any organized tire comparison if you don't believe me. I like your car too much to keep silent.

Now that's a weird suggestion to someone who drives daily on said tires...
How about you give me some links then, everything I've read prior to buying them was highly positive.
 
Bridgestone 960RE Pole Position A/S on both Audi and VW. They are great tires for A/S.
I have tried Kumho ASX crap tires they were out of round and shoke the car at any speed. Toyo Proxes 4 good tires but wore out within 18 monthes.

i wear my tyres out within a year, doesnt matter which type of tyres i put on, EcoFriendly or performance tyres.
 
nankang ns2's. 235/35/18 front and 265/40/18 in the back.
 
On my bike I have a tires with a name more suitable to a condom: "Fore-play Duro" XD XD XD
