That doesn't bother me, that's between Donald, Melania, and Stormy. I couldn't care less if someone sleeps with some ho, just like it doesn't bother me that Slick Willy stuck his cigar in places where cigars don't belong (the perjury, however, is an issue).

It is not who he is sleeping with that is the issue. The issue is the payoff the violates campaign finance laws, which he also lied about.

Does it though? Seems that narrative died out pretty quickly to make way for “collusion”, “obstruction”, which also seems to have mostly gone away...

Collusion was never a thing (it's not a crime), and obstruction is still on the table, but the Office of Legal Counsel has advised that it's their opinion that a sitting president cannot be charged with a crime. Mueller will restate this when he appears before Congress on the 17th of this month. No standout evidence of conspiracy was found, but Trump recently joked with Putin about election interference. For an "innocent" man, he sure looks guilty. It will be interesting to see what happens once due process of law has a chance to take its course. One hopes that the Republican Senate will be able to see past their blind partisanism and do what is necessary to stop this country from completely falling into the hands of a tyrannical despot, should that become necessary.

As I noted upthread, while Mueller didn't have the power to indict, he did have the power to recommend impeachment/indictment, which he didn't...

You are basing that on the fact that he made a joke? I'm guilty of a lot of shit in that case....

Either he is a failure of a president who can't get anything done, or a tyrannical despot - it can't be both.

I've never claimed that he was a failure, however, it definitely can be both. In the United States, being a tyrannical despot is also failing as president. Not only is it failing as president, it would also be a failure of our form of government.

I'm a descendant of Joseph Gray and Timothy Gray, who both fought, first to rid this land of tyranny, then to keep it from returning.

Both you and Lev aren't interested in informed debate, so I won't be responding to either of you after this. The gaslighting and trolling in this thread and others is a little ridiculous.

The two are not mutually exclusive, i would say the fact he is failing at both show just how inept he is.
Isn’t the measure of a tyrannical despot ruling with an iron fist? If Trump can’t get any of his promises done (as per you and Blind) then he by definition is not a despot.

Well that’s not very nice...

It is not for a lack of trying. It is only due to the checks and balances of our government, and his own people resisting his orders that have kept him from doing as he pleases.

He openly has stated that the media is the enemy of the people. Fake news is his favorite phrase after all. Then there is the harassment of reporters, lawyers, and activists that dare ttravel south of the border while reporting on, or helping those that need legal representation.

Here is a list of more things that he has done that get lost in the flurry of constant shit.

So everything is working as designed then and he is not a tyrant (whether he wants to be is largely irrelevant for this discussion)

You don't think putting civilians in concentration camps on military bases by executive order is the type of thing a despot does?
