Top Gear Google Earth locations

In the same way that the music used in each episode is identified wouldn't it be great to have a similar feature for the roads driven?

I have no idea what purpose it could serve except to remind mere peons like me that uncluttered, scenic and challenging drives do remain on the face of the planet.

My wife loves replaying the drive that James took the Jag on in episode 10. 8)

mczed38 where abouts in England is the jaguar drive looks nice :)

Anyone know where they landed in France? I've had a gander but can't find a similar looking place near Calais.

Edit: I've found it, it was Sangatte.

I have found the airport where they actually take off. It's not in Alba, Italy or Cuneo Italy (as the graphic shows), it's at Mandelieu Airport in Cannes France of all places.
43 32' 53.09"N, 6 57' 4.52" E
(You can see a lot of familiar landmarks from the show where they turned to take off after taxiing to the north end of the runway).

Why did they take off there? When departing, James opens a flight plan to LFMH, which is Boutheon Airport near St-Etienne Fr.
45 32' 37.97"N, 4 17' 38.31"E

They said they landed at Lille, which would be 50 34' 2.94"N, 3 6' 0.27"E
But if you look at the video, they are actually landing at Mandelieu Airport again.

Draw your own conclusions... :?

The thing is... I believe that they couldn't use a "tracking" aircraft during the race, so the take-off and landing were re-shot after the race at various similar airfields.

New Google Map with Top Gear Locations

This is my new Google map that contains actual Top Gear UK locations not just the general vicinity of their various stops. If you have any additions or corrections, let me know.
I have not mapped the European locations yet as there are so many of them.
