I don't think I've seen a thread for this:

Toyota FT-86 G-sports concept

2.0L turbo boxer engine + 6-speed manual + RWD = Epic win.

Obligatory GT5 clip:

Not real fond of the front, but definitely like it overall. I really like the stance.

I was going to say something obnoxious like "pre-riced for your convenience!" but it is awesome and thank god Toyota are showing off something like the FT-86.

Looks good.

The name though, it's only 2 letters from being something completly different.

I hope that kit becomes an optional extra on the production car because it looks fucken fantastic.

I can easily see the FT-86 becoming my next car, so Toyota, please don't fuck up the handling and pricing!

BTW, does anyone know what song that is in the GT5 clip?

The base version should be something like that.

This is a turbo "concept" version, so no idea if it goes into production how much it'd cost.

so long as the the tranny and motor bolt up like every other on the road, you could swap in damn near any subaru motor. from the tiny ej20's to the big flat 6 they use (ej30?) im thinking the 04-08 sti motor would be an easy swap. and i hope to god that they partner with Yamaha and turn the flat 4 world on its edge :)

Toyota apparently found their balls and decided to built an exciting (at least on paper) car. Put a Celica badge and a "relatively" low price on it and i buy it !!! :D

I don't give a flaming fuck what they call it provided they don't overprice it.

I can't belive it - A modern Toyota I can genuinely lust after. Hopefully this is the beginning of a return to the glory days.

I bet they won't put it into production cos it isn't a hybrid or something. It's Toyota, so I've learned to expect that.

The LFA is ridiculously overpriced...should we expect the same here?
