What are we going to do!?!?!?

Nuts to free-to-air in Oz, no QI, no Fifth Gear, just OD'd on 4 seasons of House, SP still on repeats (like pretty much everything else). Oh wait - Dakar on SBS for most of the month.... one little bright spark on the tedious horizon of cricket and tennis....

Oh, I don't watch anything off the air, isn't that what the internet is for?

when in doubt, there's always porn

Fifth Gear for me. Any show about cars is bound to be somewhat entertaining, and a good time-passer. 5G isn't on the level of TG, but is still decent television viewing.

I personally am so bored when top gear isn't releasing new episodes every week. what do you guys do when there is no top gear?

Serious answer: I have a life, spend time a friends, play sports, dine out, watch movies and generally do stuff

FG answer: watch TG reruns on my media PC and new eps of Fifth gear

I'm guessing you are a new TG fan, I suggest spending time to patiently dwnload old series of TG from the beginning of the new show in 2002 and properly learn the history of the show back when they actually discussed cars

Watch the butchered TG episodes on BBC America. Watch other stuff of interest to me. Do normal, everyday stuff.

Is there a set date when TG will be back?

There's always some newb who has to ask the same question every series isn't there?

Fifth Gear starts its run in a week or so in Jan and will go on for about 2-3 months, then Top Gear will air its next season probably a month or two after that. That's always been the timing between the shows

or for further reference:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gear_episode_list

series 2 11 May, 2003 - 20 July, 2003
series 4 9 May, 2004 - 1 August, 2004
series 6 22 May, 2005 - 7 August, 2005
series 8 7 May, 2006 - 30 July, 2006
series 11 22 June, 2008 - 27 July, 2008

so lets take a stab in the dark and say....May or June.

Go watch old episodes. Thats what I do.
Well tbh when im flicking through the sky guide if there's not an episode of scrubs or something like that on, i can always count on Top Gear being on dave. They get annoying when they are cut down versions of the proper episodes but what the hey! If you live in england, technically watching old episodes isn't a solution.

I suggest socializing. Or better still, beer. Or a combination of the two, isn't always a good idea but at least it will keep you entertained :)

Other options? MSN/Facebook/bebo or any other sort of social networking. Fifth Gear makes good telly, So does the Gadget Show which this time finished a week before Top Gear, so now thats not an option. Im kinda hooked on Survivors (BBC2) at the mo anyways so there's ALWAYS something to work :)

Well, I still have series 4-9 to download and watch. :D

im not new to TG, im new to the forums. i've seen all the seasons, the serious seasons (1-5), the serious and fun seasons (6/7/8/9), and the mostly crazy and not serious recent seasons (10-12). All in all, i think the show does need to get a little bit back on track, otherwise its fine. i think seasons 6-9 were the best, and 12 being pretty good.

I was thinking of swallowing some cyanide. If only I had some...

Induce a coma until it comes back.
