So I just took position of an old PowerEdge 2800 Tower.

Quick Specs:
Single 3.0 Xeon
2GB DDR2
2x 146GB U320 SCSI Drives connected to a PERC4
3 NICS

But I dont know what to do with this bad boy. It servered its old life as en E-Mail server and small time file server. But now its home, and I am debating what to do. Sell it? Convert it to a ESi box? But then I got another issue, hard drives. The U320 cost way too much and capped at 300GB. I can setup an iSCSI box but then this bad boy and another system eating up power...

So any ideas, maybe a great place to get cheap SCSI drives..

This might make for a good dedicated encoder, you won't have to tie up any of your "useful" systems and those Xeons are fairly quick. Alternatively you could hook up an eSATA card and plug a couple of external drives in there and run it as a NAS.
