I'm between cars right now, but what with looking for jobs and being a car person, I can't stop thinking about them. I plan on getting some big 4-door sedan with a big depreciation hit and a V8, like an ex-FHP Crown Vic or 03-04 Infiniti M45 (depending on how much I want to spend). Dark color and tint are pluses, and opening up the exhaust tract is a definite possibility. My MR2 was fun but I feel like trying something a bit less high-strung; if I want to go back to slot-car sports cars, I'll find out soon enough.

So, my fellow petrolheads, what will clog up your garages and parking spots in the near future?

I was a HUGE fan of the previous M45s as well, I did a bit of research and found it had too many annoying problems that I wouldn't want to deal with. I remember reading something about changing the oil every couple of months or else the engine will seize up. (I'm not 100% thats what it was, don't quote me.)

Absolutely beautiful car though, damn I still want one.

When I get out of college, there is a white 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 waiting for me, so in 3 years I get a proper sports sedan.

I'll probably get something old, small, 2 door with some power that will make the insurance companies happy...

100% non sensible. I want either a Solstice, a low mileage S2000, or a RX8.

Or I could be alittle more sensible and get a Mini Cooper S, a Civic SI, or a Cobalt SS.

Or I could be really sensible and just keep what I got and buy my own house/condo. :p

Definetely something that will get my adrenaline rushing.

Probably an EVO 9 or E46 M3 if I have enough money.

For sure non sensible because I already have my sensible car.

depends how long the integra lasts, if i'm finished with my P's when I sell it then maybe something like

VZSS-1.jpg

or

I'm at that sticky age range where I need a sensible car. The truly bonkers car will come in about 5-10 years.

Completely unsensible car.

Because practicality is what friends with trucks are for. Also, kids are for suckers.

And yes, I'll still have my bike. Maybe another one...

What the hell is with all this shiny plastic?

The New 1962 Triumph Spitfire: For men who didn't just lose the plot, but strangled it with their bare hands.

Alternatively, there's the Rover 75,

MG ZT,

and then what I'd really like. The Alfa Romeo 159.

Well considering the car (truck) I'm looking at is a Lifted 4x4 with a 4.0L (oh no not that big! /sarcasm) i6, I'd say I'm going for impractical, because I'm a students in highschool, going into post-secondary.

I'm sorry to say that I'm probably getting a Corolla for my next car. :(

I've done the non-sensible thing for five years now, and it's been fun (still is in fact), the MR2 doesn't meet my needs or wants anymore. Next car will be something sensible, but still with a bit of zest (think hot hatch - TS Astra SRi / OPC Turbo, Mk1 Focus ST170, Mk2 Focus Zetec).

Completely unsensible car.

+1

I want a tiny sports car to go with my lifted truck. Once I have the 36" tires, gears, and full lockers... both my vehicles will be completely impractical in completely different ways.

I'm selling my Jeep and getting another car. Possibly/probably a B5 S4...it's both sensible and not-. It's grown-up in a childish way. Which way to vote?

If you shop for sensibility you will never be happy.

I really want to get a Subaru Legacy Wagon (its in my avatar...). There reliable, decent, AWD and can carry everything I need to take back and forth from School to home.

I need another option : extremely boring

the mid engined rwd car will have to wait for another 10 years or so, when it's time for my midlife crisis
