Yes, CraigB bought another Mustang...

Those wheels are fantastic!

Thanks for that, twice! :D

i miss running in F stock... but no way i would want that body roll back. lol.

at least i get my choice between STU and ESP with the new rule book from last year. STU still gets a real good PAX handicap.

our big motors lump pony cars in with some ridiculous light AWD turbo cars when we mod them at all. its really not all that fair, but it is what it is. lol.

The only problem with F-stock is there is an older gentleman that runs it. He can out drive me with his pinky.

Turbo 2.3 swap?
Turbo 2.3 swap.

:D Looks absolutely fantastic man. I'd never have guessed that it had 130k on it.

Friend of mine ran into the same problem with rallycross. There was this old guy with an Escort GT that really knew what he was doing. Unfortunately he was really intense as well, not fun to talk to at all. And he wound up taking the national win for that class.

That's fantastic. I never could understand how someone (especially in a stock class) could be so unapproachable in a such a community-oriented hobby. Where do you auto-x out there? The strip parking lot?

They look good together, although "one of these is not like the others..." :D

Thanks. It's dark shadow grey though... :p

And here I thought the only color Nazis were European car owners

The 4.6 V8 car since it's not a 2.3 turbo or the XR4ti since it's not a Mustang?

Mustang guys get pretty picky about colors too.

Gotta love V8 muscle.

Actually it's a truck driver training lot on an old military base. There's a wet skip pad too, but we paddock on it.
Nice. I think the SCCA took their (biweekly? can't remember) autocross from Arrowhead out east of town to a truck driving school with a similar set up. Evidently they take better care of their lot than the Chiefs do; imagine that.

Really sharp car man. I keep forgetting how good those cars can look.

In the past month I've got the car running right and fixed a few smaller problems. Took installing a new intake and replacing the boots on the coils to get it to run smoothly. I also replaced the right tail light, as the old one was full of water. I was lucky and found a pair on Craigslist for $25. The pinion seal was also leaking on the rear end and the clutches for the LSD where worn out. I replaced those last Saturday, it was 40? out and the garage floor was cold, but I toughed it out.

So, with it running good and the dragstrip open I had to take it for a few passes. The best out of about 12 passes (over two weekends) was a 14.37 @ 97. Not bad for a stock 130k mile car. Especially when others with a similar car are lucky to break into the 14s.

Here's a few new shots as well:

Last, but not least, I made a set of magnetic auto-x numbers out of a 20"x24" sheet of magnetic material I bought at a local sign shop (about $10) and used the CNC engraver at work to cut the material. I can't wait to try them out.
