Alright, as promised, now that I've put the summer tyres on the rims, I've taken a few pics and here's the thread about it.

It's again a 1997 Audi A4 and before anyone says that I'd have to have bought something else since I totalled the previous one, I have to say I'd probably be quite dead if I hadn't been in the Audi, so you can take a hike.

The engine is a 1.8 I4, like the old one, producing a massive 125 horsepowers and 173 torques, but seems to be in better shape as I'm getting about 1 litre / 100 km less than the old one.

The rest of the car looks to be in better condition as a whole, only sign of damage are a few dents from hale and a few scratches on the corners of the bumpers (not done by me).

Some time during its life (before being imported from Germany) it had its suspension replaced with a bit sportier, that makes it 5 cms lower and gives it a few cms wider track which makes the handling miles better. On the other hand, I feel every single little imperfection in the road and driving on an old potholed road is quite bad. But it doesn't rattle or creak at all, which is quite odd for a 13 year old car. o_O

No wood this time, only a weird CF copy thing, which I don't like at all and am looking to get it replaced with either the wood I had before or a laquered black wood/plastic (piano wood ftw). I'll post pics of the interior a bit later when I get the steering wheel, shift gator and handbrake dressed in leather and have it deep cleaned.

Also, 16" OZ Hydra rims and 205/55-R16 as from yesterday!

What happened to that Mondeo you were driving?

Did it discover a tree or something? :p

Mmm...I like it. I have to say though, that driving a car with stiff, sporty suspension, and alloys isn't always a very good thing on Eastern European roads.

And also - make sure you get locking nuts for your wheels though. You might wake up one morning with your car sitting on bricks. (Yeah, there are devices that take off locking nuts...but still. Every precaution matters.)

Lastly, when you save up some extra money - get a rollcage :) Just kidding :)

Nice photos! The car looks really clean, and I especially like the color!

Each rim has one safety nut, which needs a custom attachment. So the most they can do is take off 4 nuts on each wheel and slash my tyres.

Which will be just as expensive...

Standard slovenian license plates. They suck. Same as austrian ones have a red border. :(

I really like them. For a car that cost 2000 euro (including the rims), I won't be buying anything more extravagant. But I prefer their clean, understated look to something that's ostentatious.

They're a good enough copy. :p

Oh, and the green border means "Dangerous Driver". JK :p

47: Yeah, the depression has caused second hand car prices to plummet.

Props to finally getting a good car again. Hopefully this one will last awhile.

You'd be amazed at how easy it actually is to open locking nuts..

Anyway, is your insurance in order?

It looks really nice, discreet and respectable, although from the pictures it's hard to believe it to be lowered 5 cm. But I reserve my judgement on that for the Ringmeet. ;)
