Default Andy: TG USA Doomed to Fail!

Please. Quit now. Quit with this silly idea! You have the wonder of BBC over there across the pond. We don't.

I would like to quote another forum:

This show is destined for failure. One of the primary things that makes the original so funny is Jeremy Clarkson and his over the top criticisms which simply wouldn't be allowed on US TV. It doesn't get much better than when he said the Nissan Micra looked like a scrotum. With the sterilized US market, the sponsors aren't going to put up with their products getting embarrassed on network TV, so the show is going to have to be toned down from its British counterpart.

Please, take it from an American: we suck! And your show will not succeed here. We'd be better off having BBC International running 24/7 here (along with all other BBC programming) instead crap like CNN. Heck, if I could pay BBC part of my taxes, I would! Excellent job you all do.

Schneller: this thread is entirely pointless. You haven't even seen the show yet. images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

- Wolfgang Bernhard, Chief Operating Officer, Chrysler Group talking about the Dodge Viper SRT-10

... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it.
