Do you think NBC needs to hire a hot female presenter for Gear?
...someone who is

sexy,
funny,
smart(at least about cars)
and heterosexual

If they only have male presenters, I don't think the show has a

No. There is only a need to hire people with good chemistry. Whether that's a male and 5 amazon porn stars, who knows. But they don't need anything other than good personalities and a wealth of car knowledge to make teh show acceptable.

I defend "gear" against all outside assaults by this forum.

If they added a female presenter in any form i wouldn't even give the show another thought. Instant loss of interest and respect.

Wow, I'm surprised by some of the reactions in this thread. Seems that some of you would be turned off just by a female presence, no matter what she brings to the show as far as love for cars and good presenting skills is concerned. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way for a female presenter, but if they find one that isn't a complete fake I certainly would be willing to give her a fair chance as I would with any other unknown commodity.

I kinda like Jessi Combs the cute girl from Xtreme 4x4. If they could get someone similar who loves cars, can handle tools, and is cute I would be sold on the idea.

But to get someone similar, NBC would actually have to hold an open casting call - something they've rarely done.

I'm not going to go out of my way for a female presenter, but if she's good looking and has good presenting skills then hey why not.

I guess somebody like Kari from Mythbusters (Providing she knows lots about cars) would be nice.
