Britain also gave us Pop Idol, and that alone with worth all the punishment they get.

Just about to say that. Simon Cowell should be persona non grata in the US.

I'm just not that excited for this. After seeing how Aussie Top Gear turned out, I told myself that it just won't be the same. We would just be constantly comparing it to the real thing and will decry either how bad it is or how close it is to the real thing. Honestly I can't see this turning out too well.

Also, considering how the markets are doing, is NBC really going to hedge airtime on a show that is based on an industry that is currently responsible for what could be the next economic collapse? Forget the Big Three sponsoring this show, they don't have the cash and hopefully they aren't that stupid. Unless the show is about bullshit like fuel economy and what piece of shit econobox to buy, I don't see it going on air.

technically they havent given us top gear yet, and we give better TV shows than fucking american gladiators.

American TV is actually good if you know where to look.

I agree totally. I also wonder, if they ever do air the show, how un-biased it would be. Top Gear UK can say what they like about any car but with NBC I'm not so sure. I'm even doubtfull about TG Australia as well.images/smilies/mellow.gif
