When he talks to Howard Stern he does mention that he has other projects that he acn't talk about yet. I imagine that Gear just isn't far enough along to be brought into the spotlight.

Eh, I'm not excited about this at all. If anything I'm a little bit disappointed. Based off what I have read about Adam Carolla, he seems to represent everything about American culture (and cars) that Clarkson so routinely satirizes.
Apart from that, it seems really artificial and commercial in the sense that while Clarkson' entire career is based on cars and automotive journalism, Carolla is just some cheap comedian who happens to like cars and have the resources to buy some pretty cool ones. I'm not even going to watch the premiere.... |

man I wish Dan Neil was on the cast. He is an extremely witty and intelligent guy and he already does alot of car critiques for the LA times.
carolla is a pretty funny guy, i've listened to him for several years now. I don't think stromer is a very good fit for the show, he doesn't seem to know alot or even care alot about cars. |

you know, if this turns out to be a good show, it might be pretty fun to have a us vs uk once in a while. The hosts would be on two teams competing in challenges, and maybe the uk stig will race the us stig.
