That "Awesome crash, yes, YES!" felt a lot less scripted than UK top gear, actual real life reaction shots. Remember those TG?

All right, I'll jump in with the criticism, I guess...
Reaction shots are one thing, but I thought they spent a little too much time on the knuckleheads laughing and not enough on car carnage. I love this moonshine idea, though. LOVE. Yee-haw!
I'm not sold on the hosts, either, but I guess it's hard to capture the presenters' personalities in a short teaser. This little blurb almost made them come off too polished--not unlike any other Generic Male Hosts on American TV. From what I've seen in other clips, Tanner seems promising as long as he doesn't use "bitchin'*" every other word. I haven't seen anything with Rutledge in it before, but this clip made him seem to have a sharp wit (especially when he described the Cadillac flopping around). So...what about Adam? I have no clue who he is, and certainly didn't get one from this trailer. I don't feel as if this actually introduced him all that well, so he came off as Generic Male Host-y as he could get.
Most importantly, where the heck is Stig? Here's hoping they're saving it for the first episode to keep the mystery going and draw out the hype a little bit.
The rest of the footage? I saw a SLS and that absolutely fantastic red Evo from one of the spoiler photo threads.The camerawork looks fantastic on the snippets of reviews they showed (even if the editing seemed a bit slower/more back-and-forth than I'd have liked during the Caddy segment). That shot of the Evo on the snow =

So, I'm cautiously optimistic and I hope that they'll give it enough time for the presenters to really start to click with each other. Even after they brought in May on the original, it still took a while for the hosts to really seem like they're comfortable around each other. Like I've probably said elsewhere about TG America: get three hosts that can poke fun at each other, show some tasty carporn, let Stig beat on the cars that come to the track, don't wank too much to NASCAR, and I'll be happy. This at least looks like a (watchable!) promising start.
*One exception to this rule: any and all appearances of a bitchin' Camaro. Duh.

Seems most of the criticisms/banter has been about the hosts and their chemistry. I agree, (at least from the trailer) the hosts do not approach the levels of chemistry that JJR have, but to be fair that's because that's been built up over several seasons.
However, the pressure and anticipation is so great for this show to succeed that anything short of spectacular chemistry between the TGA hosts, right from the first episode, is going to be disappointing to a fair amount of the anticipated audience. Yes, there will be (many) those that will give maybe the 1st or even 2nd season(s) a fighting chance, but how long will they have to wait before the hosts reach TGUK's level of chemistry (if ever)? Will TGA go the way of TG Aus and have to constantly replace hosts in a fruitless search for chemistry? For the show's sake, I hope the hosts can build up some serious chemistry or camaraderie in the first several episodes.

I'm not sold on the talent, but I'm sold on the rest of the execution.
When you remember how bad TGUK Season 1 was in terms of talent (even Clarkson and Hammond), this is acceptable.
Do we have an Air Date?
I will watch this until my eyes bleed.
