* You may be an amateur motor enthusiast and expert who’s not a television presenter. You may be a motoring journalist with little or no television experience. You may have some television experience BUT we’re NOT looking for classic television presenters without knowledge, experience or expertise.

Thank god they are doing this, people can always grown into their roles on television, lets just hope they do pick some awesome people. I'm actually thinking that if they get the right blend of people this could be good.

Oddly enough, having read through that, the faqs and the t&cs, I didn't see anything that dictates you must be Australian - only that you must be free to be in Australia in 2008.

Since we're all fans of UK Top Gear we, if we apply, may run the serious risk of turning into one of the 'original' trio which is not what they're looking for. I'm sure it wouldn't be deliberate

thank the maker for that.... but then again, it rules out almost everyone else on aus tv, so we might get the local hoons..
