01x06, easily. Especially Charlie's SL63 AMG review.

[01x04] - I gave it my highest score (9/10) because it had a great balance and I genuinely enjoyed every bit of it images/smilies/smile.gif

For me, that episode was a stand out and proof that the TGAU mob can do it properly.

My review of it:
Quote:
That was a really good episode! Great mix of segments, some good laughs, great filming and the music was much improved.

Firstly - HOW THE HELL DID WARREN THINK UP THAT LAWN BOWLS IDEA?! images/smilies/lol.gif It was great! I wouldn't want to be the insurance company, or Holden haha...

The Kimberly challange was excellent. The filming was quality and the music was much improved, as mentioned before. There are quite a few good quotes coming out of that bit - eg; "My wheels in the air, thats a point of bloody interest!" - C.Cox. And Warren signing....ahhh that was classic, lol.

I liked the W427 review. I like how unlike UK TG, they allow us to hear the tyre roar and the sound of the car slicing through the air instead of putting music over it. And I just liked the general lunacy of it all. My only complaint is I didn't hear much information and/or opinion of the MRC (Magnetic Ride Control).

So all in all - that was a seriously improved episode. I feel sorry for the people who no longer watch the program after a rough start because they missed out.

BTW that was a seriously boring celeb. So boring it was funny images/smilies/lol.gif

Unless there's a new type of car designed to carry dead people, that should read 'Smart hearse' not 'hearst'!

Aww rubbish. The "t" is not far from the "e" on the keyboard. I knew I was going to make a typo sometime. I'm just shocked my spell check didn't catch it.

It's really hard to choose one because to me, nothing really stood out unfortunately. But, the things that catched me the most happened in 1x06.

Ep 7 for me - the GT-R review was gorgeously shot & produced, and Steve did a pretty good job on it.

Though somewhat concerningly I find myself reviewing that list of episodes and shrugging my shoulders - looking back none of them really grabbed me.

I gave 1x04 and 1x06 equally high ratings when they came out, but went with 1x06 especially after watching it again today. The camping trip was really very well done so that was the clincher, although Astra lawn bowls was pretty awesome.

BTW: as of this post, more than twice as many votes have been cast in the TGAu poll than the Fifth Gear poll

Maybe it was built especially for William Randolph Hearst - the American railway tycoon. images/smilies/smile.gif

Ref: Best ep. Um, I can't come at a full ep. But Wazza backing out a grogan gave me a chuckle.
