Just got back from ep 1 filming - pleased to say Warren did the SIARPC segment, though there wasn't really a feel of a "primary presenter" - Woz and Steve split the duties fairly evenly, and all three definitely get on off-camera. Morrison was a bit more animated off-camera than on, but he's got promise.

^ You should start a thread for the pre-episode discussion, something like this one. If you post it here, one of the mods will move it to the pre-episode discussion forum.

Secondly, does it seem like they've listened to the feedback? especially about the quality of reviews and the filming (especially of the track). Finally, how did they introduce James? Or to put it another way, I'd love a spoiler filled review of it. |

I think what you really want to ask is whether Freehand have found a scriptwriter that doesn't rely on hackneyed ockerisms and jokes from Christmas crackers ...

Did they do the What Were They Thinking Board?
And if they didn't, did you notice it in the hangar anywhere?

There was an ad for the Aussie TG during the UK version tonight, had Pizzati along with Clarkson and Hammond, obviously filmed after TG Live.
I missed the start of it, but it was just Pizzati talking about how much bigger and better it will be:
Apologies for horrible quality, my internet has been rubbish recently, so that was about the highest quality I could upload to youtube without it timing out and making me start again. |

How is it that nobody has posted a proper set report from any of the filming so far? Sure somebody from FinalGear has been to a taping.

Ep 3, Maseratti GTS review, BMW X6 hot lap, volvo safety demo, DIY Utes, an hour delay for rain/flooding, Ahn Do in the proton, lots and lots of standing up for 4 hours.
No news, or WWTT board (thank fk). Oh, and I wouldn't want to be the next one to drive the unnamed car Warren was in last week

Ohhh, I like Ahn Do. I'm keen to see the Volvo safety test, I've read a bit about how cool it apparently is.

Yay for no WWTT board. Although nay for no news, but I think it's because of the delayed showing on TV, so it would make it old news.
Any more reports? |

Perhaps they will be filming all of the new segments a little closer to the airdates.
What does DIY utes mean? Were they taking ordinary cars and tirning them into utes? Oh, and we're they still calling it Sar in a Bog Standard Car or have they come to their senses?

So was there for ep4 this evening (airdate 1 june)
they refilmed a couple of segments from Eps 1 and i think 2 EP4,leisel jones in the proton, audi rs6 wagon v hsv r8 wagon, james morrisons dad drifts and other drifting shenanigans, news segment and a review of that shitty kia soul box. wwtt board is replaced by a much better segment(old car ads or videos-we saw 2 due to refilming a previous episodes efforts) and the in studio stunt was funny The chemistry betweent the guys is 100 times better than season 1. I think charlie cox was just too rigid a personality |

I assume that they changed wardrobe before refilming the older stuff. Most people in the TV and film industries are familiar with the concept of continuity.

Still, I can see the re-filmed bits being very obvious. That said, it is good that they are doing it, the small comments on the filming so far is sounding like they have improved greatly.

To everyone, make sure you watch the new season on tape (or hard drive) as SBS's advert lengths are now climbing towards 3 minutes, I timed one on Monday's showing of S3 Top Gear and it was 2 minutes 40 seconds (plus or minus a few seconds).
