Perhaps somebody could find a copy of the original Chevrolet ad that the "Football, Meat Pies, Kangaroos and Holden Cars!" ad is a rip-off of.

"Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet!"

I hope they don't do this EVERY episode this season. I like the ads but if they keep doing them in the show, it will get boring.

Just like "What were they thinking?" last season. It was good the first time, but they just ran it into the ground.

They should try to mix it up, instead of ruining a good idea by doing the same thing every week.

Those old ads are pretty zany - one can spend hours on youtube viewing that old crap! Props to the people who have taken the time to convert them to digital and upload them to youtube!

I'd love to start another thread on here about Classic Aussie Car Ads that TGA SHOULD feature and rip the piss out of. Like the original JB Camira 'Supercar' ad. If Holden made even half the claims about the Cruze that they made about the Camira, the ACCC would tear Holden a new one for false and misleading conduct. Talk about hyperbole ...

Whilst I'm straying off topic, Holden should have really ignored the Cruze name and went with Gemini, if only so they could recycle the old 'You and I and Gemini' slogan from the 70s ...

I'd rather them bring back the Torana name myself.

I liked that Torna TT36 concept they did a couple of years ago.

Yesh, I suppose.

The TT36 concept was a twin-turbo V6 about the size of a Vectra, so I was probably RWD.
