Default To be truly Aussie this review really needs to happen...

I know everyone hates the Holden V Ford battle but honestly you cannot have an Aussie car show without reviewing the Aussie sports Coupe... i.e. The HSV Maloo Ute and the FPV F6 (or Super Pursuit) Utes. These cars are fast becoming the Aussie young mans sports cars, especially with decent trade discounts.

For those across the seas not familiar with the cars, here's the websites:
Maloo:
http://www.hsv.com.au/cars/ESeries/maloor8/maloor8.asp

F6 Ute:
http://www.fpv.com.au/fpv-range/f6-ute/overview.aspx

Super Pursuit:
http://www.fpv.com.au/fpv-range/supe.../overview.aspx

Especially if they had a decent challenge, like see how well they go as proper work utes etc.

Too easy.

Maloo is best because it has a proper rear end and handles properly and looks uber tough to boot.

F6 is just too mental, all the power in the world, leaf spring rear provides no control at all.

Super Pursuit feels 10 years behind the other 2.

There ya go, done for ya!

I like the Holden v Ford battle. No, really, I do. But even I think that another one is not required.

What would be the big difference between the HSV v FPV shootout they did in episode 2, and a shootout between the Maloo and F6 or Super Pursuit apart from a different bodystyle? Pretty much nothing, IMO.

It would be boring. Just a repeat of episode 2. And we all know those aren't really proper work utes. Or have I fallen behind? Are the newest generation fit for work?

would be great, but i think one comparison a season is enough. apart from episode 2, we had kind of HvF shootout in junckyard challenge. i would count it as 2.
really i would like to see Mustang v Camaro

We've had one Red Vs Blue comparison already - that's enough for one series.

I hope that Stuart Appleby lets the TGA boys play with his M5 Ute once it's done ...

^ +1 tone ........ hope they get him in the Satria as well. It would be good to get a proper rev-head as SIABSC.

James Morrison is the guest in episode 6 (I was at the filming) and he's a car nut. In fact, he briefly hosted a car show (posted here - it actually isn't that bad.)

Excellent ... he should be easier for Charlie to interview than some of the others .... it should (at least) have been easier to keep the discussion on-topic.

Yeah, I thought it was the best SIABSC so far. Apparently he's owned 96 cars, and at the moment he drives an Aston. Saw him play at The Basement a few times last year, he's a good entertainer (as well as trumpet player of course).

Yay! I'm really excited to see James Morrison on TGA. He gave a couple of workshops at the schools Jazz comp in Mt Gambier this year and he's a really great storyteller. Anyone read his autobiography, Blowing My Own Trumpet? It's a pisser.

Somehow I envisage James interviewing Charlie.

Maybe James should put in a belated audition tape should Charlie's position become vacant between Series 1 and Series 2 ...?

That would be brilliant. I wonder if he could fit it in what with all his recording and international performing engagements...

I remember him telling a story about how he was given a week's notice to fly to the states and perform a concerto. I'm sur ehe could put it all on hold for six months or so tho images/smilies/lol.gif

What makes a sport-ute bogan? images/smilies/blink.gif And I'm not talking about the bogans who put the rims etc on it. I hate them too.

A stock SS-V or XR8 ute isn't bogan at all IMO.
