In the interests of providing feedback to the producers of Top Gear Australia, I though I'd collect some opinions on who you'd like to see back on the hosting team for Top Gear Australia Series Two.
Don't forget, it's a survey of who you want to STAY on the show, not who you want to go! ![]() Ooops! I forgot to give you the option to have them all back. (Maybe one of the moderators can fix this?) If you do want them all to stay... you could post it in big letters in the thread below, but then, I reckon something has to change!

As it is right now, Cox is really struggling to make a case for himself. His reviews are OK but they are already getting predictable. Plus out of the three, he's trying hardest to be funny. If any one of them had to go, It would be Cox.

Definitely Warren and Steve. Steve should keep the beard, he looks a bit like a young Kenny Everett. Wazza should keep the mo but ditch the soul patch, it's just not happening.
As for Charlie ... I'd be inclined to keep him on, but only if he was playing second fiddle to Warren.

I'd keep them all ......... but Warren for the Big Chair!
I thought WWTT could be good, but it is dying in the arse ....... I'd replace it maybe with a carbage board and invite a bit of viewer input into the show. I'd also change SIABSC to Star In A Shit Box*, and ditch the extended studio interview for a pre-recorded interview done while the star is driving the shit box in Sydney traffic or through Galston Gorge. * or Pacific Rim Import, or anything other than Bog Standard, which is hardly common local vernacular. |

You could see that the chemistry between the trio is developing, but Charlie just doesn't seem to fit the picture. He needs to be himself and not clarkson if he wants to keep his job.

I would go for all of them, but with Warren as the main host. Charlie could then hopefully loosen up a little with less of the responsibility of his current role - I'm pretty sure there's a funny guy inside there just waiting to burst out.

Keep them all. They are doing a great job. Give them some time for them to settle into their positions, if at the end of Season 2 they are still struggling then consider replacing one of them.
The show has improved immensely from the first episode, and remember we have to not compare this with Clarkson / Hammond / May, who have had 11 seasons together to form their on screen characters. |

Wasnt 'Scott?' only in it for 2-3 Episodes, and not the entire season?
PS; Keep them all. |

Keep 'em all. They're working well together (tho not sure what was wrong with Charlie last week - he came over really tired or something). He has improved greatly since episode 1. Warren is great. Steve needs to work on his technique (decide whether he's addressing the audience or the camera), but that's just time and experience. The chemistry between them is starting to work really well, now if they can bring the car factor into it, they'll be doing well. Polish a bit more of the 'ocker out and they are on their way. Considering the start of TGUK series 1 (despite the Jason hinderance) they are almost on par.

The poll speaks for itself.
I think Charlie's gotta go. I've run out of patience, and I'm patient compared to the general Aussie TV viewing public who will judge a program on one or two episodes. Charlie just isn't up for the job of hosting. |

Not when you can't vote for "Keep all three" it doesn't.

Yeah, it prevents me from casting a vote for season 2, but if they don't continue to improve next season, I might find one of the options above suitable for season 3 (if it goes that far). |

Just make it more shared hosting, not directly giving Warren the top job (because people will then expect him to be Clarkson) but not keeping Charlie there either. They work well in group challenges, and I think they will be able to improve their reviewing skills over time (they have improved over the season), throwing Cox out will make the show worse.
Basically, Steve needs to get a more refined voice and stop being over-Australian; Warren is pretty much fine, but needs to get better at being angry and shouty (see his rant about parking officers); and Charlie needs to stop trying to live up to the Clarkson role, he doesn't seem comfortable there, but he is good in other parts. TGA is heading in the right direction, throwing away a host now is pointless. But then again I'm someone who waves their arms around a lot while talking, so maybe I don't see what you all hate about Cox. |
