Where are all the viper fanboys from earlier?! There silly little car seems to have VIOLENTLY CHOKED on the power lap.... bummer for those who like overrated cars.

Hi to all from the Isle of Man.

I've Just found this site through looking for something else BMW related..

I am very lucky to live on the Isle of Man where Top Gear have been over a few times to do some filming for the series 03.11.2003 and a special one week visit.

As the IoM (Isle of Man) is so motorsport focused firstly with motorbikes and the TT races (Tourist Trophie). And now for Top Gear and the filming they have done. The IoM has it's own Government and our tourism minister is into his motorsport so he can authorise the closing of the roads so that Top Gear can film the M3 CSL going sideways at the 'Goose neck' corner with nothing coming the other way, they have the road totally to themselves!! That would NEVER happen in the UK..EVER!!

If you remember the episode you will also remember the 1988 E30 M3 in Black. Richard Hammond loved it, My pal Tim own's the car and couldn't get the keys back off him!! Another mate owns the M5 and he didn't know they 'smoked' the tyres until he saw the program.!!! images/smilies/twisted.gif

The top gear guys and crew were really top blokes and Clarkson run's the show (suprised??!!) He has now bought another house on the Isle of Man as he loves it, plus his wife is Manx so that helps.

We still have no speed limit outside the villages and no Police officers hiding behind bushes or Cameras on your favorite straight. Crime is really low and if you get caught doing something you shouldn't...we throw you off the island for good (REALLY WE DO!).

Awwww, reminds me of going on family holidays to Onchan when I was about 10 years old images/smilies/wink.gif

I remember reading about the roads being closed (near Peel I think) for TG filming.
