I agree totally....I enjoyed every second of it, especially the DB9 stuff. Seeing supercars on the track is great, but watching vids of them in real-world traffic is totally awesome. Nothing comes close to seeing that...I love watching the people's reactions, like when Jeremy boarded the ferry. Every guy and his dog was turning and looking at the car...that's so cool. I pretty much fell of my chair laughing when Clarkson described the French police's actions (or at least what he claimed they did)...that was hilarious. TG kicks total ass!!

Have to say that I preffered 5th gear more than TG, but watching this episode I think TG is getting pretty much even with 5th gear. The hole "racing" event between DB9 and the train was very fun to watch.

when i first heard the city rover, db9 and lotus would start off the new season i thought it wouldnt be a good ep but TG came out strong!!

the train DB9 race was really nice, and the city rover review was interesting with the undercover review. the apache thing was nice too and im not a big fan of lotus so i didnt watch that segment but this season will be a real great one if they have eps like this first one. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I think it's interesting to see other cultures make fun of ours. Especially in their "American" accents.

I agree with all of you. Not to mention that the video quality of this episode is excellent despite its 300MB size. Worth every byte. Anyways, May 16th's episode is as follows.

The Top Gear guide to bling
Cadillac Escalade driven
The Stig drives the Mercedes-Mclaren SLR
The new Thunderbirds car FAB1 is in the studio
Jeremy drives the Alfa Romeo 166
Discover how a nun copes in a monster truck
Paul McKenna hypnotises Richard Hammond

Why isn't Clarkson driving the SLR, I want a full Clarkson review of it and have the Stig drive it later.

I have to say, that was one of the best Top Gear episodes yet. I absolutely LOVE the Lotus Elise (U.S. spec) and Exige, and that DB9 is just amazing. Also, Jeremy is hilarious as always images/smilies/biggrin.gif

No no no, a real bmw owner would never get a 1 series. From what it appears bmw did screw up...

When should we expect this episode? Also, last week's Fifth Gear?

last weeks 5th gear was pretty weak
"Britian's Best 4x4" --- 80% of that ep was devoted to testing small SUV's
