Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Decent episode. James putting the element back seat back upright... ![]() Aygo footie looked like it would be a lot of fun to try (I'm sure someone could make a decent buck on a go-cart/bumper car version). The range rover sport vs. tank was better than I had expected (I liked it better than the exige vs. apache a year ago). Was nice to see something more than just duck and weave on open ground. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I have to agree with you that the range rover sport vs. tank was better than i expected. I kind of figured that he would just go balls out toward the finish, but he took it over so many different terrains and did so many different maneuvers that it made it much better. Plus i was ready to see JC loose one of those competitions ![]() |

Rep Power: 18 ![]() | The CLS-review was great, they reviewed the CLS55AMG and JC was quite impressed. But they also made themselves fun of the lacking quality-control at Mercedes claiming that every AMG-engine is handmade. Rover and Tank-game was also funny. Same goes for the Auto-Football. But: I was close to wet myself, when I saw the preview-teaser at the beginning holy shit....I wish it would be sunday again ![]()

| ~58:44 minutes JC: "this sport is what... six or seven percent better than the normal range rover..." JM: "eight..." cant believe no one laughed at that. | |

Rep Power: 17 ![]() ![]() | I thought that was great. I nice come back for TG, and the things coming in the rest of the season left me wanting more (especially the F-430 and the SLR race). I loved the look of the CLS-55 AMG, although I'm still not sure if I want the CLS or a Quattroporte. I was thinking the Quattroporte because it is more stylish and classy...but the CLS seems to go alot harder and is still classy, but with a strong sporty edge...and as I'm still young I don't want to look like an old man. My family has a E-500 that the lease is about to run out and will be replaced...I was thinking the CLS, but then for that cash you could get a Quattroporte, but after tonights show I'm thinking the CLS again. Think I may need to take each one for a test drive. What do you all think? |

![]() Yeah, that was weird... Actually the engine in those cars (Aygo, 106 and C1) comes from Toyota. So it's a big plus for Peugeot and Citroen... won't brake down. And I liked the bit where was JC telling about the quality of Mercs. They really aren't what they used to be... Merc just had to call back about million cars, for quality reasons. The "Hand built engine"- thing was funny. 18000 engines built by hand. Otherwise the CSL looked great, good time around the track too.Range Rover Sport looked ok to me, but I would still choose to "proper Range Rover". The funniest part was "I'm sorry, you can't have this car with a diesel. It's like saying: I won't go to String Fellows?!? tonight, I will get my mom to give me a lapdance - she's a woman." ![]()

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Very, very good episode, even if I get a funny feeling that they may do some variations on a common theme, like the continental race, and the same touring car drivers as in the people carrier race. Russ Swift especially seems to get a lot of work to do with Clarkson. About time he lost something, though Very much looking foward to the rest of the Top Gear season, it makes Fifth Gear look so bland.

| OH. MY. F*CKING. GOD. Top Gear certainly is back. I didn't remember it actually was this good. I had to turn up the volume on my system to properly enjoy that unbelievable soundtrack of just the right songs and some V8 growl. I haven't even watched it more than the first review and already had to come here and take the time to comment on it. I don't even like Mercedes' and it still rocks.

And as there are only 4 of us spread between two countries at various times it is a very rare that we are all travelling somewhere "as a family"...in fact I can't remember the last time. Basically I was thinking the CLS would be nice as a sporty car that a young person (I'm 21) would be okay driving, but will still offer the functionality of being able to take people in the back (not like the GT) and have nice boot space. | |
