Car: Does a bicycle count? Rep Power: 45 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What a disappointing Episode. It started all weird with the Maserati segment. I'm not sure which point JC was trying to make by explaining us Maserati's history and the horrible cars they produced under the rule of different owners. What is wrong with the BiTurbo ? Why is it a disgrace to the Marque ? The destruction wasn't even funny without an explanation. It seemed pointless to me. Later on we had the "usual" 1500 quid car challenge. A mere shadow of the preceding challenges. What I always liked about TG is the originality when it comes to Road Tests ond their ability to surprise me with something new or original in each show. This however wasn't original at all. Drive from A to B, count each breakdown and check the fuel consumption. Richard Hammond even "pimped" his car again. Haven't I seen all of that before ? And where was the road test ? All we got was a 20 second MC12 segment. Aren't there any cars worth testing out there ? I'd say it's time the let the challenges go for a while. It brings nothing new to the table. Don't get me wrong, at all it was a pretty solid episode but petty uninspired for TG standards. |

| ^thats exactly what I was thinking as well... the challenges was nothing new, when we watched the porsche segment before, I'm sure we all laughed our ass off, but this time, I just didn't laugh much, it was a pretty boring episode for me this week

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I agree, it was a fairly weak episode. However it was very funny, the chemistry between the 3 presenters is brilliant. I laughed my ass off through the whole 1500 quid coupe section. Hopefully the car content will get better in the coming weeks. Thanks Vuk, Viper and Cuban for this one.

Car: Range Rover, Defender 90, Suzuki DL-650 Rep Power: 18 ![]() | I thought that was great ep, maybe lakcing in new cars, but who's cares, it's not ment to be solely about new cars. That was pure entertainment. I can't believe james had the balls to hit 140mph in the jaguar. I wonder how fast it was going before it was firing oil out the back?? on a side note: It's big shame about not being allowed to host the torrent files here anymore, but it didn't take long finding the link ![]() |

| Lazier than Viper | Awesome episode, it was hilarous, and I love those cheap cars challenges! I was actually happy that James won for once! ![]() |

Rep Power: 16 ![]() | This was the most boring episode in a long time. The historic tale of Maserati was somehow dull and the 1500 pound car competition was waaaaaaay too long and unentertaining. A bad episode, lets hope this will be the only one. |

Car: POWERR!!! Rep Power: 0 ![]() | That episode made me laugh more than any other. The joke Clarkson cracked about the porn made for English hotels made me have to go back because I was laughing so hard I missed everything else. He looks so funny in that first frame driving the old Maserati race car. That XJ was beautiful, I just love it so much. I liked Richard's BMW too. Yeah the $1.5k car has been recycled a few times, but I still enjoyed it.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I don't know if you guys noticed, but when the Stig was doing the lap in the MC12, he was listening to music. Now that may seem normal, but I happened to have watched Fifth Gear's MC12 test right before watching the new Top Gear episode, and the owner of the MC12 reviewed in Fifth Gear said Maserati didn't offer a radio in the MC12.... Was he wrong? or did they add radios later on? Also, what was Hammond's reply when Clarkson asked him if they should get May something from the store?? Clarkson laughed after it, but I just couldn't make out what Hammond said? |
