Jimmy Carr is overrated. Frankly, irritating.

This quote from www.holymoly.co.uk

Why don't you ever talk normally? Why do you only have 2 facial expressions both of which make you look like a c***? Why are you on TV so much? You c***.

Bill Bailey tho, bloody awesome!

Overrated or not... Would you rather see him or Simon Cowl on top of the leader lap board?..

Don't you guys think, those Bangers were a tad overpriced???

Richard paid £1.250 for a Tatty 1983 BMW 635CSi which was more like for "The Ultimate Dodgy Machine".

James wasted £1.100 for an Oil Leaky, Blue Smoke Wreck, Jaguar XJS V12, which always was leaving a disgusting leaky mess where it passed.

If Jeremy researched a little more, he probably would find a Mitsubishi Starion in much better condition than that, for less than £1.000.

In other words: That challenge didn't prove nothing. images/smilies/thumbdown.gif

If Richard wasn't dumb enough to buy the first BMW he saw for less than £1.500. He could have bought a newer 325i E30.

James could have bought a Mercedes W124 Coupe for that sum of money, and it would be a lot more reliable than an old Jag.

Jeremy could have bought a Saab 900 Turbo, which is just reliable as the Mitsubishi and it is a lot quicker than a crappy Starion.

It wouldn't be as funny, and people would come by saying "Why didn't he bought the 635? I can find some for that kind of money." This way many people found out that great cars for little money aren't the deal you imagine.

But I thought Top Gear was supposed to be an Informative program with Entertainment and not just Entertainment??? images/smilies/ohmy.gif

Therefore, I think the Challenge was Useless for those who are on 1.500K budget and looking for a dirt cheap coupe. images/smilies/mellow.gif

But it was good enough for a laugh. images/smilies/wink.gif

yup.... TG is more entertainment than Car reviews.... if I wanted serious opinion on a car, it would be from a magazine and not TopGear motoring show

Didn't you twig that they were probably told what cars to buy, if in fact they went out and bought them at all? Come on, people have already talked about the fact that the cars suited their personalitys really well. Plus I can't imagine James driving a merc. And the starions are not crappy cars, I would have one over an old saab 900 turbo easily.

Producers are there to keep peoples facts strait.. Its all written... If they get there facts wrong its because the producers didnt tell them the right info.

So THIS is the episode where Hammond destroys that sexy 635CSi! It was what tipped me off to those gorgeous sharks, even if he did stick...stuff...onto it. Douchebag! images/smilies/tongue.gif

80's Biturbo. From the Chrysler era. Big, square things that looked as Italian as duct-tape handbags.
