Do you know why he sold the Charger? He seemed so hyped about it.

The Wiesmann looked a lot better than I imagined based on still photos. From the review, it also seemed more practical. But the TVR Tuscan looks sooooo sexy! Especially the back! And that noise! And how can you not love a car that uncool people can't even start!
Yup... does he still own a Merc SL55? It is probably a much better everyday car (if you can call a 500/500 RWD monster practical) than an Aston Volante. It doesn't have the wobbliness... and if you shell out some more dough, there's the SL65 for utterly pointless torque.

You get the Airmatic, the folding hardtop, a smooth automatic tranny, more reliability, and even more power... why not a Merc SL55 as a cruiser?

I wonder if it's possible to squeeze a blower onto the Wiesmann, that would be awesome... it's already lighter than the M3 with excessive weight from extraneous gadgets and safety equipment. It doesn't look like there's much room there though.

Yeah, but he seemed ok with the flaws when he drove it previous to buying it, i.e. it not stopping, cornering or fitting in a garage.

Yeah but he had the one he bought Upgraded... Most old muscle cars that you can buy today are upgraded to exceed the average in braking/handling.. he must have run out of $$$ for Petrol.. or had really no parking for it... Shame images/smilies/sad.gif

I really liked the humour in this episode..the firemen and the "world's police chase" were both really hilarious...I also liked the "The government has this assumption that we are driving at 8 o'clock in the morning, just to be annoying.". HAHAHAHa

The Weissman sounds awesome..well it's the M3, but really, the Weissman just seems so much better and feels so much more British sports car..

I look forward to next episode's talk on the BMW 3series.

Has anyone else noticed the Land Rover in the picture where Jeremy is talking about the Rolls when it is smoking? Looks like it's camouflage painted... images/smilies/wink.gif

The reason they dont show his numberplate is because the car is registered on the IOM, a tax-heaven. The British public might not be to keen with that. His numberplate is MAN-550-X images/smilies/wink.gif

I just dled this ep today. Cuz I forgot to dl it while I was in China. images/smilies/oops.gif I think it's an average ep, it's not bad but some parts are boring. The TVR vs Weisman segment is good. For $20k less I would consider the TVR. Either car is not going to be a great daily driver anyways. For track only car, I would get the fast one, the TVR. The batmobile is hideous, I think they just showed it cuz it's British.

Does anyone happen to know the name of the song that was playing in the background when Hammond was driving the Aston down the road with the mountains in the background in this episode?

He is saying "So there you have it, the Volante isn't as charming as a small dog" as the song is playing in the background.
