Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Yep. It was really a bad episode. Flat and no funny. Worst plenty of FAT and ugly girls on video. Is this the way this country wants to show their girls? Without going to "Baywatch" extremes, what if normal girls are put on the front line? It was weak in the studios as well but consider why: a) Jeremy with painkillers b) heat in the studio with people (fat girls usually) fainting It seems that there is not a lot of material to show anylonger and piece are over-stretched to "fill" time. Tim Rice is a true gentleman but his interview was uninspiring. If there are 11 episodes something has to give... right? PS: James May could put a little bit more effort in this show. It is really up to the poor Jeremy to hold the whole show. I love TG, do not get me wrong. I have all the tapes, DVD of Jeremy, books and the like... but this sixth series is no way great. I had to get and see the Aston Martin DB 9 race to remember how good it was Top Gear. Maybe the formula is tired, maybe the presenters are tired, maybe there are not as many new interesting cars our there to review... But talking with other TG aficionados and friends there are some ideas that maybe TG people could take on board a) James May should be used more b) waht about visiting where cars are built? Ferrari Aston Martin etc c) more F1 and rally drivers... put them against each other d) what about motoring clubs like the Jag ones... to show the passion for cars e) what about a stronger political message against authorities on certain issues f) what about DESIGNERS... show them to inspire young people to this great art Take care |

No seriously cos I agree, the current formula has worked excellent for some time, however it expired before the 5th series and they could have used this new year to change the formula a bit.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I honestly thought about emailing Top Gear but... but they get thousands of emails per day from nutters and so mine would be lost in such an ocean of twaddle. In this forum there seems to be a bona-fide Top Gear insider so I put my post to him (her?). PS: any more news for these TG DVDs to be published one day? Take care |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | can someone post the lap time of the F430, please? Can't download TG at the moment, but I want to know if it has beaten the F360 CS and the GT3 RS. Thanks a lot! |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | F430 = 1:22.9 The 360 CS had 1:22.3 They said the tires on the 430 (bridgestone) weren't as good as the pirellis they used to use on the 360s... |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thanks cookting! I expected the F430 to be as fast or even faster. Looking forward for other tests of the F430, especially the Supertest in "Sportauto" with the laptime of the Nürburgring Nordschleife. |

| James May drove a black 430 Spider in Italy a few months ago in Top Gear Magazine and said he loved it, as long as you stay away from the flashy colors. Even liked the flappy paddle gearbox. It's still nice to know that I own the roadster that Jezza still likes the most of the cheaper lot (The S2000). I thought the episode was a little weak myself. I guess I kinda thought the entire season has been. The race to Oslo seemed almost too staged at some points. Basically, this is what I think has happened. They started the series off well. The Five-a-Side football in the Aygo was a good segment. The SLK segment was entertaining. They hit all their better stuff early on in the season, and now seem to be just getting through cars and finding filler. Maybe they have some tricks up their sleeves for the reason of the season, but they seemed to come out fairly strong and just don't have enough to push them through 11 episodes. Most new cars aren't released until the fall anyway, so they won't be testing a lot of new stuff until next series, I'd imagine. I want to see the AM V8. I know they'll make a big deal about that.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Jezza still likes the most of the cheaper lot I beg to differ on the one above. At the studio (this was cut in the episode) Jeremy stated that "cheap is cheap and expensive is good". So in reality he likes exclusive things and even if something is good but in the cheap price braket, it is regarded as a toy. The point I believe he is trying to make is that if you can/want to spend a lot of money in car then you need to spend it wisely on something with value. Expensive for the sake of it is pure non-sense. AM |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I dont understand you people rambling on about how bad this episode was. I thought it was great, especially compared to last weeks episode. Anyway they shouldve edited that fat bitch out or made jeremy start insulting her like does to the guys. |

| I thought it was odd that the result of the convertable test ended up with the exact three cars they tried to compare on an earlier top gear! ie the S2000, Boxter, and Z4. | |
