Hmm I'm changing my vote - just rewatched some bits - it was actually really good - not sure what mood I must've been in when I said it was average, so for that earlier verdict images/smilies/oops.gif

Anyway I think it could be the best episode of the series. I like seeing James and Richard get behind the wheel aswell cos we dont see much of that. The Monaro drifting segment was awsome images/smilies/thumbsup.gif That Jap guy really went bonkers with the Holden...why didnt Richard once say Holden btw images/smilies/ohmy.gif images/smilies/mad.gif
How hilarious was James attempt to remake the TopGear intro tune using car engines images/smilies/lol.gif images/smilies/thumbsup.gif Top stuff!
I didnt quite get the review of the F150 but it was funny to see Jeremy shopping for bread images/smilies/tongue.gif
The cool wall was nice to see again. The CLS55 SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUB ZERO images/smilies/mad.gif JC made the A-Class sound cool in his review for the Times....
Finally, the Murcielago bit was excellent...if I were to ever buy one, it would be in black though.

That was probably the segment that had me thinking it was a so-so episode - that review just seemed a bit flat

But then I watched the drift segment again images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

They were in Pamplona, they were in my city!!!!!!

The desert where they filmed part of the video is called "Las Bardenas" and it is in the south of Navarra.

Because in the UK it's badged a Vauxhall, and I'm sure they don't want to go confusing those viewers that can't walk and chew gum at the same time images/smilies/wink.gif. Besides, they made the point it was a rebadged Holden when they took it to Pendine last year.

Just finished watching the episode, it was great!! What more could you ask for, honestly? We had good solid bashing of Ford pickups, general American car build quality and rednecks who buy those things. We had drifting and not only drifting but drifting in a Monaro, one of the finest cars ever to be fitted with an American engine. We had the Enzo, albiet briefly. I wish Jeremy could have told us about the AMV8 Vantage. images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Good ep. iboss429, dunno what you're on about. Or maybe while you were watching it all you could think about was going back to your ways with your cousin. We don't want to know about your redneck oxen cart handling pickups, 'cudas or Vipers. images/smilies/yucky.gif
Give us a real car anyday. Not some 3 tonne trolley with a rocket in it. images/smilies/twisted.gif images/smilies/yucky.gif

Good episode, but I didn't like the engine theme song segment, it was clever, but pointless. The F150 was a lightning and I used to have one and for what it was, it was a cool car to drive. People stealing stuff out of your cargo bay can be prevented with a cargo roof, and there's been a new F150 out for 2 years now, that Lighting is old old old! Good sedment of the episode, but not very informative and factual. The F150 STX, Dodge SRT10, Toyota X-Runner, all very cool trucks!

The Monaro and drifting was very cool, the Lambourgini was cool but Richards review wasn't very good I think.

Come to think of it, I don't think this was one of the best episodes to end the series with. images/smilies/sad.gif

This is one of the worst episodes of Top Gear. JC was pretty much discussing the lack of luxurious build quality in the F150 shows how out of touch he is. The F150 is a utilitarian truck, you don't need wood on the dash or leather upholstery. The dash gets kicked around and the seats and everything else in the car get dirty.

And I have never seen one person with a truck put their groceries in the truck and if they did, the truck would have a cover so the air doesn't blow it around.

The point of his review was to show how the car would probably be used in the UK.. It would probably be bought by the same people who'd want to have a Hummer but can't afford one... As a posers car it's pretty crap, at least you'd want to have properly fitting trim, wood would be nice as well in a car that expensive.
Real farmers just get something better like Landrovers or simpler Toyota pickup trucks. The car is basically useless.

That lambo is the best looking car there is. I mean it makes you want to masturbate images/smilies/lol.gif

It was totally kickass episode, although the guest was someone I've never had heard of so I skipped it.

Thats sounds a bit contradicting. The F150 being as rare as it is in the UK would be a perfect poser car and with that engine and power, who's not going to notice you in a F150? Let alone a Lightning! Any truck for that matter! I love the Ram, I think its so tough looking, the interior given isn't the best, but oh so much car!!!

Go to http://www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/f150/ and check out the new trucks, I think those interiors are pretty much inline with some of your mid range Euro designs.

This episode was hilarious! images/smilies/thumbsup.gif The F150 review was great, I love that Clarkson doesnt care about political correctness. If this would be aired on Discovery I would laugh my ass off, but then Americans wouldnt have enough homour to cope with this images/smilies/lol.gif images/smilies/tongue.gif

The drifters were cool too and so was the bull run. The lampo is pointless in the end, unless you use it somewhere were it doesnt rain.

Great episode - and yeah the f150 is no good for the UK... maybe thats why there isnt any there? images/smilies/unsure.gif

I fully agree with whomever compared it to the transit van...

The 'jessica' bit was hilarious!

I thought it was an allround good episode.
