I didn't think the Isle of Man film lived up to the last one from over there, or even the Pendine Sands 3 car debates. Mind you, it did wipe the floor with the Iceland one from the last series.

Lastly, allow me a girlie moment, I wish that Jeremy, James and Richard could all find a barber by next week and get a bloody haircut each!

The BS about the settings is rubbish, that's why you have the button with the big M on the steeringwheel, just like in the M5. Other than that, great episode, great laughs and I'm bloody looking forward to the rest of the series. It's just such a shame there are only 5 more episodes to go images/smilies/sad.gif
true. But there is no getting away from the fact that putting ALL of the controls accessable in one place is gonna be confusing. I like Audi's MMI better, its a lot simpler and easier to manage.

Good episode. I was surprised the 911 was that much quicker. I was expecting the M6 to win. But I guess it couldn't put all the power down in the rain. The Vantage is a beautiful car, I would get that and maybe have a custom turbo made if I have the money. images/smilies/biggrin.gif The Ascari was cool, but it looks like a blend of Koenisegg and McLaren F1, it needs a more original design. Good episode, although not much content. images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

what a great episode, the production work just keeps getting better and better. the camera work, and the music, and the color filtering, and the speed were all just amazing. the whole show just felt faster, i loved it.

Did anyone notice when the Stig gets in the Porsche and you hear him listening to the Beegees, yet the instrument panel clearly and boldy says "Radio off"

The bit that had me laughing out loud was "Klaus Zwart... Makes you think of..." and then the montage of Blofeld and Sharks images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Nice to see Jeremy's new (light)house on the Isle of Man, lucky sod images/smilies/smile.gif

Haha, what a great episode. Far from the best, but still quite good. Oh how I've missed you, Top Gear. images/smilies/love.gif

Wow, what a great way to start a season. I'm amazed that Top Gear keeps getting better and better after each series. This episode had the funniest news segment ever.

The best parts had to be the Nazi impersonation, the French car jokes, and Hammond's fish. images/smilies/lol.gif

Now that I have my engineering exams coming up, I have something to look forward to each Sunday.

I just wanted to make sure everyone noticed what they did with the sound mixing during the Aston's introduction...

Right after Clarkson says "Deeeeeeep Into the carpet!"

I mean... it was BRILLIANT! They bring that energetic fast paced music filling the soundstage up to this great crescendo over the engine noise and the Clarksonisms, but the music was over all this for a while... often I watch the show and wish the music took more presidence, and it finally did. images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

By the time he says "Youuuuu can have fun with this!" coupled with the great music and that whole scene just had me heart rate up about 10000 BPM's

old, yes, but solid proof that it is actually edited in. Some people just couldn't believe that was true images/smilies/lol.gif

that was the very first thing i noticed.. except i actually like richards hair.. jeremy i expect it from(he needs all the hair he can get).. but may.. why..

anyways..

that was a fantastic episode.. the editing is.. seriously getting better and better. all the traits that make top gear,..topgear.. were put on steroids.

i was extremely disappointed in the astons noise though.. its sounds so rough.. and un-classy.. i wanted a even more aggressive DB9 sound, maybe like the DBR-9. the low range grunt sounds fine, but the higher revs sound.. choppy. that review makes me reconsider getting it in the future..

also.. does the ascari look different from the one the tiff reviewed?? it seems so much faster.. and cleaner... it looks fabulous. also why did tiff say it was like a ferrari360?? seems pretty damn quick.
