I will/am at the moment, be posting the 'sode on a.b.multimedia again. It will be done in 2 hours, 45 minutes, that includes the PAR2 and all; about 2 hours, 15 minutes for just the RAR files. Enjoy! images/smilies/smile.gif

pretty unimpressive episode to be honest images/smilies/thumbdown.gif . It was cool that two records were broken and I admired the tribute to Richard Burns was very touching. But the short Zonda segment was too short, the Renault challenge was lame, the 10K supercar segment was predictable... the best part of the show was next weeks preview of the Veyron, its gotta be something special if they showed a teaser of this this epdisode, they don't do that very often, if at all.

Unimpressive? Some of you have your expectations way too high. This was one of the finest episodes I've seen so far. The Zonda F segment was a little too short but everything else was great. Kudos to Clarkson for the Richard Burns segment.

I don't think Top Gear's ever done a preview of an upcoming episode, so the next one has to be brilliant!

The Zonda F segment is too short, but then they just did a extensive segment on the Zonda S last week, so it would probably be redundent. The Clio challenge is fun, it looks like it has good handling, but the turning radius is kinda bad. The $10k supercar segment is entertaining, but not much info. When they dyno the cars, they are only getting whp tho, so Hammon's Ferrari didn't actually lost 61hp, more like 40hp. Looking forward to next week's Veyron test, definitely looks good. images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

how are you so sure that the original figure was flywheel hp?... because ASAIK, european cars HP is measured at the wheel whereas japanese cars are measured at the flywheel

Great episode, but disappointing start.
For such a great car as the Zonda F is, the segment was surely very short.

The Clio vs. bike segment was fantastic! The bit with the old lady saying "Ai credo!" was hilarious! Hey, Bihus, was that near the Castle of St. Jorge? A couple of streets seemed familiar to me.
Respect to the biker! I can not see myself do that in my mountain bike. Not at that speed, anyway.
The Clio looked pretty good. It is one of the more popular cars in Portugal. Speaking of which, beautiful roads those James was driving on, before the race!

The Italian supercar segment was also very funny. I feel sorry for the owner of that Nissan! images/smilies/lol.gif

Very good episode. I think the Zonda review was better than Jason's in FG. Its too much of a coincidence that the 3 guys came up with 3 different marques.....a Ferrari, a Maserati and a Lambo and no repeats. I dont think they do the buying themselves. I think the cars are purchased for them and they do the selection or toss a coin or pick pieces of paper with names on it and then start the cheap car tests. In the last one, there was 1 German (BMW - which Hammond likes anyway), 1 Japanese (Mitsu - which Jeremy thinks is great) and James, with an English Jag. - just too much of a coincidence.
I like Ellen's style and competitiveness...she is good. Fast too. James should have won that race....he loses too much.

One of the best episdoes in my opinion.

Criticism:
- zonda segment too short
- some bits did feel like just filling the time, and a bit uncomplete
- 10k challange could have been a bit better by giving some more challanges, and JC being a bit creative to win it

What I liked:
- 2 records broke
- RB tribute
- 10k supercar challange - I had literally tears in my eyes from laughing when Jeremy's engine exploded and went all into James' car, and I almost collapsed when he's brake went out 5seconds later and he drove into the bushes images/smilies/lol.gif
- stig with the vauxhall on 2 wheels images/smilies/ohmy.gif
- tears in my eyes again from laughing when they pushed the mondeo back
- tears in my eyes when James rammed massivley the nissan while reversing, and later on screaming that "it doesn't fit" images/smilies/lol.gif
- clio vs bike was awesome, nice to see James pushing it and "scretching it a bit:

Overall verdict: kick ass episode, with just a bit more touch could have been the best episode ever.

Even though James finally broke down like Jeremy and Hammond, at least he finally got the satisfaction of ditching them after they broke down. They always go have a drink while he struggles after breaking down. I liked seeing that.

Based purely on looks, I think the Maserati was 1st, Ferrari 2nd, Lambo came 3rd.

Actually James won the last "Cheap Car Challenge," so the only person who hasn't so far is Hammond. I think people are reading a bit too much into things, though. Just enjoy it for what it is: entertainment. James really shined in this episode, though. images/smilies/biggrin.gif The Zonda F segment and the 10k segment did seem to end rather abruptly, though. Which is a shame, because that Zonda is really a spectacular-looking car. And Jeremy and Richard moving the car during the parking challenge...dirty, dirty, dirty. images/smilies/lol.gif

Great episode! It was curious how nearly every song this episode could be found on either the Pulp Fiction or Snatch soundtracks.

I won't be letting my dad watch this as I have been nagging him to buy a 308 GTB for a couple years now, and if he sees this he may just get a Porsche 944 or something silly like a new car images/smilies/wacko.gif

The race in Portugal was awesome! I would have loved to see the whole thing from the bumper cam.

I can't help but think that if you bought a car such as the Maserati in such poor condition, then changed the engine that it would be a pretty sweet car to drive around. Refresh the suspension components, give it some paint and polish and go about your daily business in style.

The Zonda segment could have been a bit longer, maybe just more footage of it driving around.

can't wait for the next one! images/smilies/eek.gif

One of the funniest episodes ever... remember when James' car started leaking and he's like "I got so excited I pissed meself."

Great music too in the episode, and the Zonda F has to make the best sound of any car... just great.

Great show. Especially the Lisbon segment. images/smilies/tongue.gif

The annual Lisboa Downtown at Alfama is always spectacular.

The 2005 race was won by Britain's Steve Peat.
